I believe we are still looking at the a7iii. Don’t quote me since @andrew is the one with the final say haha. Of course that doesn’t have a built-in flash either.
I am taking a look at a couple new lenses as well for hopefully Christmas time! We also may or may not be looking at measurement rigs right now which may or may not cut into the camera budget for the time being… who knows? Haha
Great thread sorely needed. I have always been able to get “good enough” photos from my Pixel 2 with some effort. Has anyone tried the Moment Case and lens set that is make for iPhones and the Pixel 2? Just wondering if the $100 expense would be worth it to get the CPL filter or if I should just put the money toward a proper camera rig.
I took this with the tiny Leica C112 (Panasonic LF1) a few years ago. It’s a little noisy, but the colors and contrast on the black amp were very realistic.
@antdroid gave me the best advice in jumping into photography by suggesting the Lumix GX85 micro 4/3 camera…its cheap and the lenses are cheap in comparison to most other cameras…and it is a very portable camera, especially with the 20mm pancake lens.
Or another great option with a clear upgrade path is the Sony a6000-a6600 cameras…the 6100 just got announced recently and is a great jump in point…but a couple hundred dollars more than what a bundle gx85 goes for.
If you have interest in photography I recommend going the GX85 route or a similar 4/3 camera as the initial price isn’t so painful, if you don’t get into it…plus it will teach you how to frame shots better due to being a cropped sensor…at least it did for me lol…now I’m spoiled with the A7iii and I’ve only taken a 100+ shots so far.
I can’t see any noise on my phone
Most people won’t open up the pictures and zoom 3:1 in
so loose your “fear” instead embrace the grain
it is what it is- like taxes
when I see your IEM picture- I look for the simplicity and see the effort you put in it- thank you
It’s great that Gary is back in production with a new model. I’ve had the first version for over 20 years. Used to use it with a Sony DiscMan and either my old Audio Technicas or my then new Senn HD-580s.
The Marley “Liberate” - not a great headphone, but the wood and the colorful ribbon make the picture (Leica ‘T’). Note the colors in the separator rings on the 3.5 mm plug.
Just surfing around the forum and found this thread, if anyone ever has any photography questions, camera questions, lighting, composition, etc… please let me know I am happy to help. I once had a long and confusing conversation following from accents and mishearing “Olga” versus “Ogre.” Reduces to Oga…Shrek is an Oga! Olga is a Shrek.
Thank you @TylersEclectic appreciate it! Reno/Lake Tahoe Region is pretty awesome. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest also, that area is beautiful! Just let me know I am happy to help!
