The Sexiest Headphones

Do you have experience with them?

I unfortunately do not. I just know that I discovered them awhile ago and never forgot about them. It would be very interesting to hear them!

Seems like I’ll be getting all models to demo soon. Will post some impressions. Let’s see if the sound matches the looks.,:wink:

Wow. I’l be looking forward to hear from you.

If anything, open up a thread on here for general discussion for Spirit Torino headphones. Or if that’s not possible, shoot me a PM once you post your impressions, I really do not want to miss out on this!

I think this is a strong contender for sexiest headphone now:

Focal headphones in general are straight up sexy IMO:

My top 3 off the cuff are the HD 800S, the Empyrean, and any ZMF with stabilized maple burl! I love the pattern and the fact that each set is unique.

Those used to be mine.

Was very hard to decide as to whether I kept those or my purple set:

Wow very nice, those are probably the two best looking headphones I’ve seen!

About 6 months ago I first saw that picture and it had me itching to get my hands on a set of Auteurs with one of those finishes.

Do you still have the Purple Verite?

I do.

Other than going through three iterations of the Vérité LTD (Pheasantwood, Ziricote and finally my current Cocobolo set), and switching from Paduak to Bloodwood on my Eikon, the only ZMF headphone I’ve sold was that sea-green/blue VC set … and then only because I had two pairs and no longer needed both.

Those look like planetary surfaces from a far universe! :star_struck:

Unlikely. 10k is simply too much for me.
Maybe when I visit the factory in Torino, I will try them out.

I will post my impressions of the other models though.

Very curious to see what you think of them, especially the Superleggera. I have heard it and personally i think it’s a terrible headphone: all bass, sibilant and distant voices and veiled highs, but i am giving it the benefit of the doubt. Maybe i just got unlucky and it was defective or something? Either way, keep us updated about your impressions!.

I will. In fact, I just opened a thread for Spirit Torino and posted my first impressions of the Radiante:

Spirit Torino headphones - Headphone/DAC/DAP/Amp Brands - The HEADPHONE Community

As for the Super Leggera, those and the Radiante were my immediate favourites. I did not find my pair to be bassy at all, on the contrary - they are rather neutral and open sounding with lots and lots of detail and very good midrange (voices) and treble. I believe they just iterated the design/tuning and maybe I got a pair of the new ones.

I am using Burson DAC/amps and Cayin DAPs and so far no sibilance or bassyness at all. (I am very treble sensitive myself) Talking about bass, the Radiante knocks it out of the park. But even here - still lots of control and detail. But of course all that is subjective.
