I feel like rambling. I have always been drawn to tubes. I lack the understanding to know the science, explain my experience, or quantify what I love. Just came back to typing this after almost being paralyzed with relaxation to a track. Just loving my new listening position and equipment.
I had an odd experience the last week. My dt1990 on a schiit fulla and phone, no extra power is very tube like. Is it a lack of current? All I know is I’m enamored with my very pricey r2r dac and tube amp, best combination I have found by far. But I am confused by how much of a related experience I am getting. Am I training my brain? Is it the environment? I use my solid state at a computer in a chair, but that soothing feeling isn’t there if I try and close my eyes and focus on the music. It has to be more than a state of mind.
