Is this top favorite music albums, regardless of format or recording quality? Or top favorite RECORDINGS, with specific format, and the numbers for others to look them up and, if available buy?

Methinks this list tells more about you than about the recordings.
And Dark Side of the Moon??? Yes the recording is nice, but Relics.
Oh my! There must be some reason Dark Side of the Moon’s Billboard stats the weeks each album was number one on the charts.
Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon. 917 weeks . Let’s see. That is over 17 years
Second Place . Bob Marley and the Wailers. 386 weeks and this almost 71/2 years
I saw Pink Floyd 50 years ago at the Fillmore East in New York. Dark Side of the Moon wasn’t even a thought back then. They broke the ground of a new genre of music “Psychedelic Rock” and blowing away every band.
Most important the title of the topic is “What is everyone’s top 10 favorite songs” My would certainly be different than yours. I also believe you got it right about when you say it is “more about me”. For me they are one and the same.
What music talks to my soul may not talk to yours. I would ask that you save any criticism of my choices, especially since the topic does not ask for it and for me it’s a hit on my personal choices.
What makes our forum so great is that we don’t criticize and be open to all of our choices. I have no qualms nor do I need validation in music, since I have been involved with it as a performer and as an audiophile for over 55 years.

It’s the alarm bells. We all remember. It was Pink Floyd going commercial. Such a jarring departure from Meddle, Relics, Ummaguma, Atom Heart Mother, Piper at the Gates of Dawn.
Ok Ok, I admit to being a Syd Barrett fan.
And I deeply, deeply envy your Fillmore East concert. 
And more about you - that was a high compliment. We have about 60% convergence of taste. I never saw Dylan live either, but Highway 61 Revisited is on my top list. (And yes, it’s after the motorcycle accident, and therefore “commercial”.
Also, are we talking song recordings or album recordings? That could make a difference. Saw Tull at the Civic Arena in Pittsburg doing Aqualung, just as Thick as a Brick was coming out. But my favorite Tull SONG is probably Bouree from Stand Up. My favorite Album is like your’s Aqualung.

That was the Album Tour I saw at the Fillmore. Awesome show with a 50 piece choir and brass ensemble.

I don’t know about listing a full “top 10”, as that’d require way more thought than the day warrants (so far) … but one recording that I’ve always enjoyed, on multiple levels, is:
As a simple stereo recording, using a single, ambisonic, microphone, it is one of a few albums that, on a suitable rig, delivers an incredible sense of the venue and its inherent ambience. One of my favorite albums for assessing such things.
