I remember tears for fears and listened to them a lot during their 80’s heyday. The 80’s was a fantastic decade music wise.
That’s a bummer - so online or download it is?!
My wife secretly pre-ordered the album (on vinyl) and gave it to me on Friday. T4F was the last show we saw live over two years ago. Love the band and the new album.
Completely agree. Although there was a lot of “just pop”, I think a lot was very well produced. I just like the sound from that time.
Oh yes I agree there was afair amount of novelty stuff and rubbish just like any era. I just love the 80’s as it was the decade that my love for music grew.
Talking about the Eighties. Have you heard / seen New Kids On The Block’s new song?? I couldn’t stop laughing watching their video. A brilliant throw -back.
It’s great to see some artists make fun of themselves and the 80’s, rather than thinking they are still in the 80’s ![]()

What @SenyorC said. Remember the MTV VJ’s?
So this weekend has me traveling back in time to some of my favorite college jam bands. Infectious live music with the crowd roaring in the background.
Anyone else have some favorite jam bands? I’d love to expand my horizons!
I spent this past week listening to Béla Fleck’s Drive. It’s been a great balance to the atmospheric river that showed up.
I’ve been studying a lot for my graduation in composition. Irony of the thing I hadn’t a lot of time for music listening. Now that I’m done I had some time for jazz music I love.
Last week I have discovered the music of the wonderful Caroline Shaw, after stumbling on playlist of her music on Apple Music. I am new to this kind of music, I guess it can be described as modern classical, with some pop influences, and a lot of beautiful singing?
Hey, those are the Caroline Shaw albums I’ve been listening to!
They are so nice. Do you have any other records of hers?
No other records of hers just yet! Any recommendations?
I don’t have any physical records, but I apart from the albums you got in your picture I also enjoyed these works of her I found on streaming: To the Hands, Entr’acte, and a weird Partita for 8 Voices
