Drink, @MRHifiReviews, Drink. This is MUSIC AND DRINK pairings. So, Hypo Clearing agent? Glacial Acetic Acid? Dektol? Edwal FG-7?
You must have a drink pairing.
Later note: wait. did I click wrong? It isn’t Music and Drink Pairings. I’ll be toddling off now.
Ah good stuff!! Benny takes me back^^
Yes, do go back…maybe someone had a wee bit too much to drink ;p
Been listening to the new Trivium album today and it’s amazing from start to finish. Probably my second favorite album of their entire discography at this point, with Ascendancy taking the top spot. Matt Heafy even did a live playthrough of the album on Twitch today, which was very refreshing to say the least.
Listen to the album on Spotify :
Any Trivium fans on the forum ?
I like a lot of that, Blue Oyster Cult, Yma Sumac, Alice Cooper, and yes, THE MONKEES
A friend and I have been on a Blue Oyster Cult kick recently, especially for Revolution by Night and Club Ninja, both of which seem generally ignored (but we love them).
I’ll also be the first one to say it: Welcome 2 My Nightmare is a better album than Nightmare 1 (Alice Cooper). YMMV but I’ve listened to Welcome 2 must be a hundred times at least. Welcome 1 is a great album but Welcome 2 kicks that up a ton.
I just discovered Yma Sumac. I really like a lot of exotica but she had never come up in my searches. Mike Patton from Faith No More mentioned her in an article recently:
I really enjoy Mike Patton’s work.
Because of COVID-19, a lot of artists are doing a long of videos / performances from home which has been fun to watch! Some of my favourites have been participating and it’s interesting to hear these versions compared to live and studio produced versions.
I missed The Midnight when they came threw Vancouver last year and deeply regret it. This isn’t quite the same but it’s something!
I’ve been a huge CHVRCHES kick again and there at home stuff has been pretty good!
I don’t actually know half the artists in this but thought it was a fun little cover
Bringing me straight back to wearing baggy, ripped jeans and Emerica skate shoes! Also, Tony Hawk Pro Skater!
This is a format that probably shouldn’t work but actually does work (if you like NOFX).
This is in the same vein as the NOFX concert but I feel like this probably has a wider appeal.
A friend recommended this soundtrack to me and I have been enjoying it all week long.
This list is always expanding so feel free to check in.
I’ll take that Chelsea Wolfe vibe any day nice pick.
Here’s my vibe this week. https://youtu.be/VrgesVaWIAU
Florian Schneider has left the building. Kraftwek is going to be in heavy rotation again this week.
Hey all! It has been a while, but I am back and looks like I have some catching up to do. This thread is amazing. @MRHifiReviews, you are posting some killer stuff!
I can’t get enough of the latest Four Tet album, Sixteen Oceans.
