Ok so I have to ask, do you have a Favorite Marlon? Or does it depend on your mood and the music you are listening to? @MrCypruz
You must be cooking a hell of a video for your review of the Utopia. Please make it so great to a point that it gets Focal’s attention.
The Awesome Abyss - inspired by

or the much more inspiring cyberwoman of Torchwood, season 1, episode 4.
@antdroid beautiful buddy!
Used one of those at uni. Very nice iron.
You already answered to your question. It depends on mood, music but here it goes in a nutshell…Warning: lots of worthless subjective statements below:
1266 TC for when I want to feel alive due to its amazing dynamic punch, ample sound and of course bass presence.
Susvara for when I want to chill, lay back and listen to smooth acoustic and jazz sounds, the opposite of the 1266 TC
Utopia and SR1a for when I want to “know” what went down in the studio, concert, recording session
VC (on tubes) for when I just want to enjoy the music, without worrying about technicalities or other audiophile BS, just the music.
PS: all of them manage to get me to where VC puts me but they just take a little longer than the VC to take me to that “just music enjoyment” state.
Congrats!
I do see another headphone stand or two in your future, especially with some kind of soft top where they meet the Abyss metal band ![]()
Thanks. Yes sir, they’re on the way.
Those are my trusty good old stands but the time has come for a replacement.
Excellent! Love your thoughts on all of them, thank you, Marlon! @MrCypruz
Wow, that’s some end game options right there. Awesome headphones across the board. I’m jealous haha.
As one of the approximately 5 people in the world with a collection like that, you really owe the rest of us some comparative reviews now. Some of us need clarity about exactly which headphones to waste our lives dreaming of!
Enjoy the Abyss!
Do tell! Is it like Disneyland for HiFi adults?
Congrats! Mind sharing a comparison between the S8 and Andromeda if you’ve heard both?
Unfortunately I didn’t have time to play on this visit, but Will was super cool. He mentioned the next time I come back to bring some records and hang out and listen to music, and drink coffee.
I just may have to do that.
I have actually never heard the Andromeda in any of its iterations.
Nice!
A lot of Hybrids being bought lately.
