Being so cool as to have the Meta , I’d love to see that! Using Owliophile, I’m getting clear differences >10k based on the tips, which I was a bit surprised by. I’m guessing it’s from the Moondrop Spring tips’ “inset” stems, which will lead to a deeper position for the IEM itself. I’ve compared a decent amount with both the stock and with Spinfit W1s.
BTW, one thing you might want to do in the future is put a semi-opaque white box over the low end there in the animation, so that you can still see it, but it’s not so eye-catching (or seizure inducing).
Really, though, this approach drives home not only the idea of tip rolling, but why tip rolling can be a thing. It also drives home the effect of our anatomy. The length mode of that quarter resonator that is our canal (and the air volume I suppose) has a real effect. Just b/c it was simple to make (well, the number of measurements and their control wasn’t necessarily simple), doesn’t take away from the impact. So often, when conveying research, it comes down to finding the right figure to tell the story. That tells it so darn clearly!
