Just bought a heavily modded Crack does anyone here use one with Aeolus? If so what input tube should I shop for?

Interesting, i have three zMF HP’S on order (each ordered 2 weeks apart from the previous one). I have not received an email yet on any of them. I do a check the order on the website for updates, however the last update was on 3/8
lol… email came in at 9:08am this morning and I’ve been refreshing ever since.

When is a likely date it’s sent to us?
Last year when I ordered around August, it took a FULL 13 weeks to arrive at my door. I believe that was when they were moving to a different facility. So hopefully, we’ll get it sooner; within the 6-12 weeks noted in the order form. Getting to sanding stage after only 10 days seems very promising.

Definitely use creative rotation
It’s the BOPP mesh screen that’s on the Aeolus and Auteur, Here’s a video from Zach about replacing it if it gets bent and starts being a problem. (it can make pad swapping a pain). I know some people have removed the screens entirely to tune the headphones to their liking. Zach charged me $15.00 for a set a few months ago.

oh man i wish i tried the aeolus without the mesh and the plastic pattern structure driver cage thing behind the steel mesh, thats a lot of obstruction, the most ive seen with any headphone so im sure the sound would change a ton! probably not as an exciting of an prospect for those who arent into eq though, there is a reason its all there for sure

Beautiful headphone!
I have a blackwood Aeolus w/SS hardware. The wood has somewhat less visible grain than yours, though I’ll bet in dim lighting you can’t see that grain at all (blackwood has a way of disappearing in low light, as do some other darker woods).
Couldn’t live w/o this headphone!

After two months in shipping they are finally here! Patience is one of the many things I’ve learned studying abroad as an American, away from Amazon hour delivery and Taco Bell drive through. I would be a little amiss to say I don’t miss those, however.
Koss Porta Pros is what started this journey and I think all roads led to it ending with the Aeolus. Once I heard it, I was scheming on how I can get my hands on one again.
Like my first try with the Aeolus, the stock pads stay on in favour over the perferated suede. I love the thump and euphany of the stock pads for now with my chain. I can’t wait to have these on my head for longer and let my ears burn into them, as of right now they are really use to the HD 600 (with a big bass shelf) signature.
Somehow, my girlfriend remains the voice of reason in this hobby. Usually instantly pointing out things that take me weeks to come to terms with. But after 30 seconds of the first song, she took them off and said ‘These are the best headphone you have shown me’.

I wonder what stand it is you use for the screen? I have seen it on several occasions and maybe it is what I am looking for.
Sounds exactly like my experience a week ago 
I was few songs in and thinking “How the hell is this not the most talked about headphone in the whole audiophile universe, this beats everything in terms of pleasurable listening experience”.
Mighty HD650’s finally seem to be collecting dust since I got these.
