I have a set of Autuer here.
Came with two sets of perforated leather pads. Am I right to assume the one with the larger opening is the Autuer pads, and the “wider” pad or the pad with a smaller ear gap, is the Eikon pad?
Yup. Eikon pad is round with smaller cavity. Auteur pad is oval with larger cavity.
Might have to measure them. Look awefully the same.
Anyone running a EQ? @Resolve ?
I think somewhere around 3k bugging me a bit.
The one with bigger soundstage is the Auteur. The one with more bass is the Eikon.

Here’s my Ambrosia Maple Auteur.
Really like how it sounds off Bifrost 2 > Shortest Way 51+ (also have a Bottlehead crack w/ speedball but haven’t tried on it yet).

I don’t often go for white woods unless it’s something like bird’s eye or flamed maple that is subtly dyed… But those look amazing! Me likes! Congrats!
I agree, great choice on the black hardware. It just makes the wood pop right out.

What’s a good (like really good) desktop DAC to pair with my Auteurs and incoming VC’s? My amp is the Liquid Platinum.
Thanks. It is different from most ambrosia maple sets I’ve seen so far. The spalted pattern on the maple really caught my eye.
I am really enjoying it a lot as well.

Joining the wenge Autuer club.
As I was worried after @TylersEclectic live stream that they wouldn’t rock hard enough for my taste, the burn in and first impressions choices have been errr… more violent than I might usually listen.
I’ll burn em in for a week or so and post some impressions.

I love my Wenge Auteur with a passion. Paired with the Echo they rock so damn hard.

Wenge is easily my favorite wood. Second is burl types. Hopefully Zmf will do other headphones in Wenge.
