I contacted Zach about getting a pair of Verite Perforated Suede pads. He says he is gonna check stock on them. Seems like an ideal pad for me. I like the BE2 pad size/fit and the Perforated Universal Suede feel and sound. Hopefully they mesh well into a complete Verite package.

I love how supportive Zach is about allowing his customers to fine tune their sound with pad rolling (obviously it’s good business to sell pads).

But my instinct is that it’s more about making sure his customers have the best experience with their headphones. Very cool.

Yea he’s been actually quite responsive to things. He gave me a free set of pads last time after I made a suggestion about sound differences between materials he was using, even after I offered to pay a couple of times, so he’s earned a customer for life type thing from me.

I have the Perf Suede Universal ones on the way for VO. Hoping they are just right!

Ok guys

I am a FU$King Believer in ZMF and @zach915m I got my Aelous today and going through my standard 29 song test tracklist and starting from song 3 Phil Collins in the air tonight I started to feel the tingles way before the drums come in which only happens when something evokes a serious emotional response from me. I have had them ongoing since this track and was even nearly brought to tears from Sam Smith “Burning”
I mean unless Zack is lacing these headphones with something I am seriously in love with these headphones and I am only 6 tracks into my playlist
 Thank you ZACH! :headphones:

Do I need more proof ???
@ProfFalkin put some curiosity on my head when he mention the Auteur’s for the kind of music I mostly listen.
I was so noisy that day at the CanJam
:rage:

Well now I want an Aeolus.

That’s awesome, Marcello. Glad you’re enjoying them so much. :+1:t4:

visiting this thread is a guilty pleasure. It’s difficult to like something so much and know you can’t have it right away. To save and sacrifice to get it will be a tough road, but the reward should be worth it.

I think I need to start playing the lottery

I’m bidding on a Bottlehead with Speedball upgrade for the VO, if can get it cheap enough worth a try.

Else that SW51 amp is might tempting. Works out to $600 AUD delivered.

I contacted the guy a few weeks ago. And he sent his order form, and one of the boxes was “With CAT” and one was “Without CAT”.

And I’m not super up to speed on the technical aspects of amps and tube amps and whatnot, so I asked him what that “upgrade” may have meant, maybe cat was short for something.

As soon as I hit send on the email, it dawned on me the amp physically has a cat picture printed on the front :stuck_out_tongue: Doh! Haha. Can get it with or without the white cat

Tell him you demand “With DOG”. Cat people are weird.

Rick and Morty for the win!

The headphone setup is OK too, I guess.

I was actually sceptical of pad rolling at first but was really surprised at how different the Eikon and Auteur pads were on the Auteur. The sonic differences were immediately apparent. When I get another ZMF I’m gonna add all recommended pads to the purchase.

The pad rolling guide he put up online is quite helpful as well.
