64 Audio U12t - Universal IEM - Official Thread

Which cable do you use here?
Is it right that‘s without a memorywire?
I‘m looking for a replacement for the U12t’s stock cable…it‘s really uncomfortable, and i‘d like to have a cable without a wired earguide.

Thanks!

I find the stock 64 Audio Cable and the Premium balanced one very stiff around the ears. It’s not uncomfortable per say but it’s so stiff that I think it is making the 2 pin housing a bit loose or wobbly. I’ve had mine 14 months now and am a little worried that they may become an issue. Ooops I forgot to mention mine is the U18t but same family and company. I do have some much softer non memory wire cables that I could try but don’t really want to be taking cables on and off all the time.

I use the Dunu DUW 02 with the U12t and it’s awesome, couldn’t recommend it enough. It has a wired earguide, but it does not really bother me on this specific cable. Worth to check it out !

Thank you!
Will check it out…

I just received the Atom XL modules from FiR Audio. The little case is nice! You can store both modules from 64audio and all 3 sets from FiR together! Will post impressions later

I’m also looking forward to your impressions. Wondering if I should take a punt on these for my U18t’s.

Out of curiosity…
Has someone tried to equalize a U12t to the frequency response / tuning of an U18t?

I had no idea! I passed over that cable because of the photos only show MMCX. Thanks!

Bought mine on Aliexpress and received it in less than 10 days, so you should look for it there!

Interested in your impressions on the FIR modules. I have A12t’s for 6 weeks now and love them. I assume these modules would fit them as well. What cable are you using and what do you think of it. Thanks.

Been using the FiR - module with my U12t so far and I think I’ll switch the the N or + one instead. It affects the sub bass quantity more than anything. For the A12t, I’m sure the - module would be best (since it has more bass overall).

As far as cable goes, I mentioned it in a previous message. It’s actually the Dunu DUW02 cable. It’s great for the swappable aspect, but I also really like the feel… I use the 4.4mm at my desk and 3.5mm when I’m on the go. It takes less than 5 seconds to switch everything and I feel like the quality is excellent, especially for 80 usd.

Thanks for your response. I will probably buy the modules to check out.

I caved when I saw the U12T on sale - I’ve been wanting these for a long while. Hoping to receive mine early next week! Don’t think I’ve been this giddy ever since I’ve gotten the Susvara since it took me a long while to get a pair of those.

If I keep the U12T, I guess I’ll be looking at closed-backs next. Well once I’ve saved up once again.

Until you mess your pants when you hear the MEST… sorry couldn’t resist!

Seriously though the U12t is currently one of my two top favorites for IEMs (but I’m not that experienced in the IEM world)
