It is a good one! I followed it as it released…so all done…can’t wait for the next season! Hopefully it still is on schedule for release this fall

To try and bring some momentary levity to this thread. We all need some levity at the moment with what is going on in the world!

This is so true!

I had a girlfriend that did this and it annoyed the crap out of me.

That’s my saying to the kids for the new protocols - when you come back from going anywhere, wash your hands, change your clothes - this is the way!

Those two posts in a row - Yoda, and @TylersEclectic 's bidet comment. My favorite video of the disaster so far.

If you are in the US how does your state rank?

NJ, I think we are second after NY. Is really hard to keep a 4 and a 5 years old toddlers happy from the house to the patio and back( when is not f*** raining).
Hope you all guys and families stay safe!! :mask:

I completely understand @hansel, I don’t even have a patio!!

Update from this side of the world (Spain), we have now been under confinement for 30 days and have at least another 12 to go (although unofficially it is more like end of May or June at least).

Today, the industrial “non-essential” work force were allowed back to their jobs, although there isn’t really much to produce at the moment. We are still only allowed outside to go to the store for food, the pharmacy or to (briefly) walk the dog and we need proof to do so.

Thankfully the new cases and death rates are starting to fall but we will see in 7 to 10 days what kind of an impact us going back to work has.

I just hope that this passes over soon so that we can go back to worrying about the little things in life.

Stay safe everyone.

I don’t think we will be going back to normal until there is a vaccine created… all it will take to get right back to where we are right now is another outbreak due to a false sense of security that it has “gone away” just look at how the flu of 1918 went down… it had a lull during the summer than hit hard again in the fall… not that it is the same thing but, I see this lasting a long time and will be changing how humanity approaches a lot of things from social interactions, how work gets done, transportation, shopping, etc… there will be a lot of changes coming due to this… hopefully more good than bad =)

I agree  with you @TylersEclectic this virus isn’t going anywhere and a vaccine and proper treatment will be the only thing that get us closer to “back to normal”.

Until that is we as a society take the vaccine, lessons from this crisis for granted and forget about pandemics and it happens all over again.

The optimist in me wants to say we will learn from this as a society and not make the same mistakes again. :crossed_fingers:

For those wanting to read up on it…rather depressing but here is a wiki page on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_flu

I once got accused of forming part of the country that was responsible for all those deaths

but what if a vaccine is never created? there’s no real vaccine for the flu, or hiv, or a ton of other things either.

We’ve all lived through one of the least dangerous periods in human history. No major wars, no famines, and relatively few diseases. In fact, over the last 20-30 years antibiotics have become ineffective because raw evolution allowed microorganisms to mutate into immunity. Sulfa drugs -> Penicillin -> Recent era -> nothing works any more.

When the Black Death killed up to 50% of humanity 500 years go, and when random annual diseases and quack doctors with opiates ran the show just 100 years ago…we don’t have much to complain about…

Human life spans increased every generation until just recently. Now, we are all dying from too much food, too many carbs, too little exercise. Wall-E is reality.

Let’s not go down that road, it will be a very dark path if we do! I would hope we would build some natural immunities over time. We have also created better ways to treat or mitigate those other medical issues.

I made the joke recently that we’re gonna emerge from this looking like the passengers aboard the Axiom!

I blame the virus for me finally hooking up my Genesis/MegaDrive Mini and playing through “Castle of Illusion” (starring Mickey Mouse) again.

It was never a very difficult game (even though you had to finish it in one sitting … no saves back then), but was the spiritual successor, in more ways than one, to “Smurf: Rescue in Gargamel’s Castle” on the ColecoVision.

Next up … “Thunderforce III” … (one I imported from Japan to the UK at the time …).
