Yup, those do look familiar!

I have those very same ZMFs, Atrium is identical and Verite in copper with African Blackwood. :+1: Same DAC too! With Burson 3X GT though, no Team Blue so far for me…

Beautiful setup, wish I could stop by for a listen and a nip of the good stuff!

A terrific setup. Lots of amp versatility. Personally I love both solid state and tubes, so I can understand why you’ve gone this route.

I am a freak for variety, as I bore easily. Maybe bore isn’t the right word, but I get restless without change.
My amps are hybrid, SS, OTC tube and OTL tube.

Here is a recent headphone shot, but it is outdated already. I recently sold three sets and got a new to me set of 109 Pro’s yesterday.

It is very rare that I go two days in a row with the same headphones into the same amp. I E. Yesterday was 109’s into the Violectric V220. Today is the 109’s into the iFi and tomorrow will be trying them with the tube amps, if the weather is cool enough.

Yeah that is pretty awesome.
I’m at the point where I’d like to add a few more headphones to my collection. Makes the the hobby more fun and adventurous. I’m not stuck or sold on one type of tuning. :handshake:

I have spent the last 9 years trying out different headphones. That’s a lot of headphones bought and sold (at a loss of course ).

But I have finally built up a collection where I really like all of them. Same with the amps.

Hey there ShaneD! Good to see you active here on headphones.com forum in addition to Head-fi.

Happy Birthday to you!

Here is my messy rats nest of a system as it is at the moment. However, components move in and out often so unfortunately it is often untidy.

I was active on here a few years ago, but I had a nasty interaction with a staff member and I just walked away.
Since then I would occasionally duck in and look around, but that was about it. I was done with this forum.

I went on to find Hifiguides.com and spent the last few years between them and Head-Fi.
And occasionally dipping my toes into SBAF very carefully.

Since leaving here I have bought and tried a lot of great and not so great stuff. Since this forum seems pretty dead, I thought I would drop in here and comment on some of gear I have gone through and still have.

Now that’s a graphic example of a hobby room. My spouse would probably punish me for that, regardless of the state of her shoe “collection”.

I think you might benefit from some hooks in your ceiling. I’m not sure why, but if you install some I am certain they’d find a use.

I see lots of toobs! That’s awesome! I hear you with the headphones, I like mixing it up too, having some variety. I think I’m pretty settled with one amp/dac for now, as spouse is pressuring me to winnow it down. Since I have all dynamic driver headphones (with1 exception), I’ve reached a happy place with Yggy OG dac and Nitsch ECP DSHA-3FN. :+1:

Happy cake day to you!

Must fill out the character count…

Yeah, I have stepped out of line and headphones staff intervened. However, the outcome actually turned positive in my case and he even gave me some useful advice. Unlike Head-Fi, my posts here were not censored.
.
I also appreciate that superbestaudiofriends does not censor posts either. Although one consequence is that sometimes they can come off pretty raw. So I too understand the importance of a cautious tiptoe when attempting to be superbest.
.
I do miss the days of Headwize and early budding of Head-Fi. The amp designers of that era are my idols. They were cool, nerdy, and generous. I learned so much from them.

In my case it was just a matter of a staff member being a douchbag to me when I asked a simple question. Maybe he was having a bad day or maybe he is a huge douchebag. I just walked away.

I do get an earful.

That is a spectacular idea. I can’t wait to get my hooks installed!

I only lurk at HF on very specific threads, but what do you mean by the above?

Are you the guy that had bad luck multiple times with the LP amp?

Yes, that was me. I had an LP for quite a while and then sold it off. I regretted it later and tried to replace it when Monoprice was having a clear out sale. But I had problems with the units I bought and ended up getting a refund.
