I will now wait for the Atrium Open Back to be delivered and then test out its comfort and sound.
Since these will be my first ZMF headphones, I’ll probably have to get used to them.
If I like them, I might consider the Caldera.

Caldera is magnificent, there is no question. My personal “hot take” is that CALDERA - not 1266 TC - has THE BEST bass in headphonia. Not quite as much soundstage or resolution, but if you’re all about that bass (no treble), then…
Caldera gave me sweet [sound], sayin’ how [its] my number one…
Seems you misspelled YH-5000 wrong
Different head shapes, different ear shapes. Focals sit on the outside edges of my ears, kind of like donuts, sort of like large Grados.
“On this day 12 years ago…” reminder from social media:
I was so satisfied with office tunes via my Headroom Desktop and my Audeze LCD2s. How far this journey has gone. Above all the gear, there’s years of musical fulfillment!
But it begs the question – was the gear necessary? How much is our enjoyment due to the nerd-factor/ownership-pride of gear, versus the artistry and emotional conveyance itself? Even harder question, if I could talk to my younger self, would I do it the same way again… ?
Nice headroom amp. I recall looking at the mid level ones and settling for an Airhead.
And we’d quibble over whether that should cost $249, $499 or a whopping $799 for their highest end…
Finally getting some help at work which means I’ll be spending more time at the office.
Decided to up my desk game. Found a screaming deal on an OG Mogwai with the separate input transformers (Under the desktop).
Love the Mogwai. Such a great amp!
Not the greatest pics, but it will kind of give you gents an idea where I’ve turned some of my focus towards, which is amplification variety.
That is so funny that you thought of that cause sometimes I feel like I’m in a HIFI show/store especially late at night when everything is lit up. The rack is almost 6 6ft in length, so yeah it has a presence for sure. Definitely not for everyone, but I really enjoy the atmosphere it creates.
Or, are you a competitor for having the world’s largest cable splitter nest?
To be fair he tried to clean things up a bit, but this happened.
This is currently my cockpit of acoustic joy.
It’s always a bit of fun to experiment with it by combining different device pairs with different headphones.
