Stellia is noticeably more detailed - that Be driver is doing work haha.
Could anyone who’s seen these in person confirm if the pads and grill look like this? Is this an accurate representation of color?
That looks much more green than blue. I hope the (smartphone?) camera messed up the color on that shot, because that’s fugly.
That is not fugly.

I will say though, I wish it were more of a navy blue instead of a royal blue. That almost black color of navy blue would look so good on that.
That made my tingly bits tingly.
TMI?
Sorry.
Get LCD-X Xc and then order a set of X grills for $40 and you have two in one, that what I did.
Depending on age that could be any number of things.
I know a bunch of folks were wondering how the Elegia measures with the Celestee pads. I’ve done some testing and I think while it’s an improvement over the Elegia’s default tuning, it’s still not as good as the Celestee with Celestee pads. While you can pad swap around, when it comes to Celestee, swapping Elegia and Radiance pads onto it yielded a response that was also not as good as Celestee default pads on Celestee. Now… the big question on everyone’s mind is going to be… how do the Celestee pads fair on the Stellia? For that, I’ll need to get a Stellia in to evaluate. But for the moment, here’s the Elegia with Celestee pads.
Tingling probably means you have an electric short and might accidentally electrocute yourself. Don’t use your headphones in the tub, shower, rain, or snow.
You are welcome in advance.
That’s nice if that’s accurate
Is there (apart from the color) even a difference in the pads Celestee vs. Stellia?
Yes, but I need to get a Stellia in to see the measured difference.
Thanks. Would be very interesting to see what the Celestee pads do with the Stellia and vice versa.
You’ll have to pry it out of @TylersEclectic’s MMA-trained hand grip.
Is the headband on the Celestee made of metal or plastic? I’ve heard reports of Elegia’s band snapping so I am hoping they improved that aspect of it.
I believe similar material, do not try to bend or stretch the headband on these like you might with an hd6xx.
@Resolve How much of a difference does an amp make versus just plugging the headphone directly into my MacBook or through the 3.5 to lightning adapter for my phone?
I know these are ostensibly make to be more portable and used amp-less; and I am strongly considering picking up a pair along with the ifi hip dac, if necessary, for the increased power output and bass boost function.
Generally there are benefits to moving the DA process to a separate device outside of the computer, but how much of a difference you’ll notice really depends on the motherboard you’re using - and what its DAC output is. For example, I’ve heard some that are truly awful, and I’ve heard some that are reasonable. Still, it will be beneficial to have a separate device regardless - even though these headphones don’t really require much power to drive. Also, it kind of depends how much you care. For some people, the dongle is all they need.
