Ouch. Iām going back through this thread and seeing how much behind-the-scenes harassment Torq receives. I mean, I understand why people @ him so much, based on everything Iāve seen of his posts and expertise, but itās crazy to think that people keep pestering him when heās clearly on vacation, and besides that, clearly retired as staff (as detailed by his āRetired (Former Managing Editor)ā¦ā tag. I hesitate to laugh, because itās clearly an annoyance to him, but I canāt help but laugh at those entitled folks who seem to be harassing him.
Ian, enjoy your time, man. Iām deathly afraid of open waters, but can appreciate the freedom of cruising it.

Itās the nature of anonymous entitlement.
There are few people of his status in this community so people try to take advantage of it. In the end though heās just a guy having fun with audio whoās been fortunate enough to hear a lot of gear and share his thoughts on it. Thats helpful enough.

The āDead Devil Duckieā (I have a dozen or so of the little buggers) ā¦ is the āFinal Formā ā¦ well unless there is an unknown, frog-like, Gallifreyan iteration that Iāve not reached anywhere yet. So, I suppose a frog is possible.
Probably wonāt have such magnificent head-gear as yours if I go there though.

Mine was a photo of a one-time-only ācherry blossomā seasonal display at a nearby hotel (akin to the Bellagio lobby in Las Vegas). I donāt think Iāll ever find anything so magnificent again. I donāt think theyāll ever reproduce that display. I donāt think many people kept photos of it.
Plus, oddness makes it exceptionally easy to spot my posts in a sea of black tough-guy icons/avatars. Iām the one youād never expect toā¦
