Music that moves you

Check out the 30th Ann remaster of the Black album. Bob Ludwig did it. It is well done, but I ultimately do appreciate the original more.
The Black album in general is some of the nicest recorded metal of all time.

Yeah I’m not sure there’s anything stronger than nostalgia, it could be the crappiest equipment you’ve ever heard from but if you have strong memories with it and haven’t heard it in a while, nothing’s gonna hit as hard as that.

I read about that online today. I think the whole world has gone mad.

This one has a great mix and a cool sound. Check it out if you’re down with Flyleaf/Paramore type stuff!

I’m not crying! You’re crying!

Can’t really explain this one but there’s just something about this song and this live performance that does it for me.

And then there’s just something that’s heartwarming about this Iris Cover

I dare you not to get goosebumps.

It catches me every single time.

This song, performed by Margo’s wonderful voice, always lets me sink deep into the story, close my eyes and come close to tears.

Neal Young’s original was already moving, but the Cowboy’s breathed emotional magic into this song, especially the wonderful Margo Timmins.

I feel the same way about Lou Reed’s “Sweet Jane” - a “cool performance”

……………but the Junkies’ version turns it into a “story that wants to be heard” and that touches you.

Margo and I are in the same age, and I have been a “bit” of a fan of her touching voice since the late 80s

music that always takes me to another world

regarding “tracks that bring a tear to my eye and give me goosebumps”, this instilled so much fear in me I had to stop every 30 seconds to catch a breath and took a whole month just to get through this one song.
the debilitating pain and the consistent ruminations are directly reflected in this. it’s ridiculous how well the band members got themselves together after their individual traumatic experiences and channelled their emotions flawlessly into this piece.

A bit of a well known, yet established electronic album, but still after all these years this one still “moves me.”
A great recording too. High energy and high dynamic range.
Hard to pick a favourite track, so I’m recommending the whole album.

Nicholas,

Did you get any of Fish’s limited releases before he closes the store down? I got the Vigil set. It’s fucking amazing!

Halestorm - Break In

Oh my. Not yet. I did buy Weltschmerz a couple years back. I watched a few of his “Fish on Fridays” tou tube channel and that is when I found out all these awesome deluxe editions were coming out.
Actually, I’d really love to have “Internal Exile.”
So did ya check out the blu ray audio disc from the Vigil set yet?
I bet the audio quality is insanely good.

I’m also saving some $$ for this one.
Ultravox’s “Lament.”
Last year I got the Quartet set and it is incredible.

This belongs here for sure. It was originally a piano and violin piece but the cello version vastly improves it. Anyone who enjoyed The Good Place will know it.
