Yes, welcome to all.
Hello and welcome @timiambeing and @Jman841.
Youāre so diligent about welcomes. Iāve been remiss.
Welcome to all of the new people who put their screen-names into the inner secrecy envelope, then placed that envelope into the outer envelope, signed and dated the outer envelope, completed their user profile, and earned the tutorial badge. Your registration must be received before November 3rd⦠Oh snap, my mind slipped again.
Thanks @prfallon69! So, my name is Tim, and Iām a recovering audiophileā¦
actually scrap the recovering bit! Iām very familiar with this group software as I spend quite some time over at the Roon group and itās the same system. I may get confused and start asking about DSP and using REW for room correction⦠bear with me.
Iām here right now because I found the reviews very informative and balanced, and Iām looking to re-engage with head-fi after my main system pinched my headphone DAC/Amp and wonāt let it go. For a while I had a Mojo that would handle both bedroom headphone duties and ābig hifiā work, but I āupgradedā to a RME ADI-2 DAC. For a while I was unplugging it and moving it around, but now Iāve got so much plugged into the back for the main system itās just too much bother.
And in my opinion it makes a far better stand alone DAC than it does a headphone amp, though it does have a very clever headphone amp Iāll admit. Itās just over the last few months Iāve sort of decided itās a bit, well, boring. So Iām hoping to get some good advice here and Iām enjoying reading the reviews.
Thank you! I fell down the headphone rabbit hole and have purchased and returned way too many in my search for my ideal solution. For now, my temporary end-game is the Hifiman Sundaraās. I have until Jan 31st to return them, so we will see what happens! Really enjoying them for now though!
Hello and welcome @PiyKat and @TJFontanella.
Thanks! I look forward to the opportunity to share information on this hobby that is pulling me into its orbit.
Hi all, new here. My name is Vincent and living in Holland. Plunging happily down the audiophile rabbithole. Started 2018 with an audioquest dragonfly, a denon D7200 and spotify on my phone. This year its roon/qobuz on a laptop, with chord qutest, ZMF pendant and ZMF eikon. Loving every minute, but I have seen my music tastes change from mostly metal to jazz and classical. Metal on my current setup was total crap. I remember one of my favorite albums suddenly sounded like it was recorded in a bathroom down a long corridor.
I came to this site/forum because the pendant review really resonated with me. Right now Iām researching open back headphones to accompany my eikon and the ones mentioned in the pendant review are my prime targets.
A fellow Dutchie, welcome!
In case you werenāt aware of it, check out Headphone Auditions Amsterdam and Ears Unlimited. Theyāve got almost anything you could ask for available for auditioning, and both stores are well worth a visit.
Ive been to earsunlimited. Tried the feliks euforia with the eikon, but did not really like the combo. After a short conversation with Zach at zmf decided to do a blind buy of the pendant.
Been meaning to go to headphone auditions in Amsterdam but im hesitant due to the whole covid situation.
Hello and welcome @Jari and @Rhinomyte76.

I can still hear 15k but my ear canals are oval, not round. I have goofy ears, even I donāt trust them.
recently picked up ZMF VO.
