New Here? This Is The Spot To Introduce Yourself

Miss having that guy around, haven’t seen him anywhere in awhile.

Don’t see many of the people from here anymore, kind of sad to see as this was a popping place a couple years back

Hi!

How do I make a new post? It is telling me that access is denied.

Thanks for posting my above post.

My intro:

I’m a Mac geek, app nerd, writer of wonderful words and an adventurer of authentic awesomeness. I love sleight-of-hand magic, chess, GTD, movies, tech & gaming.

I currently own a Bose QC35, AirPods Pro and an AirPods Max (lightning version).

I am trying to post a question about cleaning the pads on my AirPods Max in the I need advice section. When I try to post, I get this message: An error occurred: Access Denied.

What do I need to do to be able to post there?

It’s likely because you’re a new user to the forum. Try posting on the Airpods Max thread.

Greetings from Sweden. :sweden: :waving_hand: :headphone:

Welcome. I looked at the pic you posted of the ear pads. Would be great to have someone 3D print about 6 or 8 of the frames. Then if the mild detergent and soft cloth doesn’t work (I have my doubts if sweat has saturated the padding) you could try more aggressive treatment while making new pads with better materials just in case.

Hi All,

New here, to the world of higher end headphones and to Focal Clear - though not to Focal, having had the Aria 906 speakers for about 4 years.

Since I am here - the question that led me to this forum…

I just bought a couple of pairs of the Focal Clear pads from headphones.com - they arrived in a plain envelope, in individual plastic packaging with nothing to indicate they are the real thing.

Contacted headphones.com and they confirmed they are but couldn’t provide any “evidence”… Any ideas?

Hey I had replied to your post on Reddit as well but just in case it was not seen there.

Hey just wanted to jump in and clarify that there are no Headphones.com Focal Clear ear pads. Just Focal Clear ear pads provided direct from Focal in France.

Focal ships all of their ear pads for their high end headphones in single unit packages. This was the case for the Elex, Elear, Utopia, etc… Not sure if that’s just a carry over from their two channel DNA but it’s they don’t ship their high end model pads as pairs. There’s a pretty famous incident out there about single Elex ear pads being sent out to customers who purchased pairs.

We can’t provide customers with manufacturer invoices but if you reached out to Focal they would be able to confirm our ear pads are purchased directly through them.

Thanks for that. Avril from your CS team also got back to me with a confirmation email from Focal (which was amazing). Thanks and sorry to be a pain but with the market flooded of cheap counterfeit stuff (and the lack of any branding whatsoever) really had a bad feeling.
