Hello, longtime lurker, finally joining. Iām also longtime member on headfi, same username, if youāre curious on my posting behavior. Love the site, the attitude and content. Happy to become a new member!
A bit about me: Middle aged with OLD ears, i was not kind to them in my youth. I listen to Tidal lossless, and my main system is an Ayre Codex dac, split to both a Lake People RS-08, and ZMF Pendant amps. My main headphones are the ZMF Atticus, Verite Closed, and HD650 (in order of my liking/preference).
Some of my backup/secondary gear include: Modi 3/Vali 2 combo, Bottlehead Crack w/speedball, Grace m9xx, Dragonfly Red, Audioquest Nightowl, Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 wired, and ATH A2000X. Thatās all currently owned. I love trying new gear and have owned or tried just about anything and everything I can get my ears on.
I mainly listen at work for a good 4-6 hours a day, and thatās where my main system resides. I have a preference for warm headphones paired with fairly neutral dac/amps. I do like a hint of warmth in my dac/amps, which is why I love the Codex and Pendant, especially with the Verite Closed.
I listen to an eclectic mix of music, but do like metal and classic rock most. I like fun/engaging playback, which is why iām so in love with my ZMF headphones, I find them incredibly engaging to listen to. Iām not a measurements person, I just listen and form an opinion with my ears. I try to be respectful of othersā opinions, and never talk in absolutes. Anything I say is my opinion, based on my own preferences and biases. I respect everyoneās own preferences and biases, and ask you do that for me as well.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone! Iāve interacted with a few of the members here on headfi, mainly in the Verite Closed forum, so they might recognize me.

I think I remember you from SBAF: same tag?? I just lurk it as the tone of that forum aint always for me.

Wellcome, especially the lurkers. @eric75. now I know we all love to hear more about your experience with the Pendent. My stealth edition slipped into the house. My wife thought it was my most recent project aka an old tube Guitar amp or effect project.

Greetings everybody,
My name is Nick and Iām new to this forum, but been in the hobby close to 6 years. Iāve been a musician for 18 years (drums, bass guitar, mandolin, bazouki). Basically been an audio enthusiast all my life as my earliest memories are my father playing records on his shiny Sansui setup.
Iām also a former high school football coach, and I played football and wrestled at Mount Union College prior to joining the United States Marine Corps in the year 2000. Saw some combat in Afghanistan and injured both of my knees. Now Iām just a nerdy Financial Management Analyst.
Anyways, Iām happy to join this forum as I am involved in other forums as well. I look forward to future dialogue with the community.
