Fantastic tracks from one of my favorite movies.
This one is great for bass as well.
These are available on Tidal and Apple Music as well.

The 4th entry in a series from producer BT that began with “This Binary Universe” (2006) dropped this week, “The Secret Language of Trees”. It is magnificent. BT uses all sorts of incredibly advanced techniques and software that he writes/designs himself to produce these albums - they really are holistic works of art.

I’ve often wondered why Portishead have released so few albums, given the quality of their releases. Writer’s block? Laziness? Maybe they’ve earned enough money to enjoy life.
Gotta put this one up here too.
The tone of the entire soundtrack is spot on imo. It sounds somber and sinister but also oddly hopeful.
1:11 starts the part I remember from the movie. So good.
Great tip - Super cool album that I’ve now listened through a couple of times
Just an idea for these threads in “Now Playing” and “What music have you been listening to this past week?” - There are links to various different platforms, YouTube videos and some just post a screenshot.
Couldn’t we insert the link into Songwhip and post the Songwhip link?
That would make it super easy for everyone to just click on exactly the platform they use/prefer and in that way easily find the right track
I generally try to post Songwhip, but sometimes you want a video. And sometimes Songwhip either can’t find the song, or - especially for those of us who use ROON, we may be looking for a certain master or mix. This happens a lot with older albums.
So I agree that it would be great to have Songwhip when it is available. I don’t use Spotifiy, and it gets very heavy copying and pasting all of that text into Qobuz.
And when I started Now Playing, it was sort of to point out new stuff or stuff that was on right now or perhaps band touring right now. It seems to have gotten confusing and/or redundant - I wonder if new users only find one…
Oh - you want some BASS in your face? Some low end below the low end - so bottom heavy it falls through the Earth? I got you.
Enjoyed this last night. The snap a pop of the drums is so addictive. Loved it on my LCD XC. EQ’d of course.
stuck in my head.
Hey that’s nice. Just had a bit of a break between clients, fired up ROON ARC in the office, and am listening on speakers. Cool, mellow, Jazzy, electrónica. Serious but not overpowering bass. My kind of music.
