And a great interview with the musician on his influences and craft, an excellent window into the thought behind behind making music and journey to mastering an instrument:

“I’ll Take Care Of You” is one of my favorites on this album.

I haven’t heard the original in a long, long time - overplayed, as it had been - but this cover of Stairway to Heaven by Rodrigo y Gabriela was both refreshingly familiar and different

[edit because the link didn’t insert as a media file - I don’t have Tidal :slightly_frowning_face:]

@ValentineLuke - Resonates in physical sound, or in meaning or emotion?

Checking it out now. Love it.

Both, actually.

I just discovered this today and I’ve been playing it over and over. Good stuff.

Yes, agreed. I played just a bit of your sample, then went to Tidal and am listening to the whole track using the Koss Porta Pros that I keep handy by the computer (just computer output, but it’s a premium card). I’m adding this to my must listen.

Beautifully recorded strings, wood block (or whatever the percussion is) and restful almost melodic, but more sophisticated than just melody. Exactly what I like in world music. Do you know what the tracks mean in English? May have to consult ROON.

Thank you for putting this up.

Unfortunately I don’t. I believe it’s Portuguese, or more likely a dialect that I’m unfamiliar with.

I was just so moved by all the aspects you described. And I’m not really a world music fan, but this was so soulful that I couldn’t jus listen once.

I’m looking forward to exploring this artist and the recommendations that come with it.
