Amazon gates the sale of Sennheiser as they do with many brands. To sell Sennheiser there you have to be an authorized dealer with invoices and pay a fee to be able to sell. It’s the case with most popular brands sold on Amazon and it makes sense because when people purchase there they don’t know they are purchasing from third-party sellers where warranty may not be valid.
In the case of the forum, you’re just selling your used gear the same as you would on Ebay, Craigslist, Audiogon and other places. People aren’t expecting 30-day returns with full manufacturer’s warranty.
