lol, nothing much to see just a hole where the internal workings used to be and a flat bottom. Getting that thing open was a pain but the size was perfect for the coaster amp. I tried to mount one in a scotch bottle but never could get the cuts just right. I also wanted to make a snow globe and fill it with mineral oil but I got busy with other things.

Drat I was just asking about Freya S and could have asked about the transport. I have run out of things I want to get from Schiit but I might consider one of those. I should mention I own at least ten Schiit items not including the number of Coaster amps I have built. I even got a Hel to check out before I donated it to someone who might appreciate it more.

Could an OTL amp be capable of delivering the current requirements and deal with the 0.02ohm impedance of the SR1a?

I had my name put on a Freya S, did those come in silver as well as black? I did not ask.

OTL amps tend to match impedances but .02 ohms is extremely low. OTL is generally high impedance out.

That’s what I figured, and with a transformer coupled amp to get the best sound one needs the best output transformers and that is costly. And with the SR1a that would mean back to the impedance matching box and any coloration it might add to the sound.

I built a device to go down to 13 ohms but you are talking a whole other animal lol. OTL amps tend to be high voltage and low current.
