Hamilton Khaki vs Chris Ward C65 for my first “real” watch ~ go!
I live in Lancaster PA. Hamilton. When I first came here you were able tour the old factory. I own one of their rather rare tall clocks. (and a Danneker, but they didn’t do watches).
Also need a 5 gallon bucket of $100 bills for a Patek $$$$.
Nice. Is this the Santos in stainless steel?
This happened to fall into my hands today…Not an airplane guy but it’s a pretty piece and a cool addition to the collection.
I’ve never seen a rotor like that before - very cool!!
yup. I normally wear it with the leather band but decided to switch it up that day. IMO one of the most beautiful wristwatches ever.
When I got married, we decided that instead of expensive rings, we would buy nice watches.
I traded my old Explorer 2 for this Submariner 16610 and she got a Steel and gold ladies datejust.
Others are a Toyota logo dress black Acutron that I won and a Gold filled Lord Elgin 25 that I inherited
from my late father that he received as a 10 year service award.
That lady is a keeper! Great choice.
If I read your Tag correctly, thanks from a fellow Vet.
Yes, definitely a keeper. Took me three tries but we’ve been together for going on
27 years. (Yes I’m old)
My Seiko Spring Drive Marine Master “Tuna” I can’t seem to get this one off my wrist. The spring drive movement is so hypnotic and it’s built like a tank, not designed to be a daily driver, but that’s what’s it’s turned into for me.
“Tuna” is such a strange yet fitting name for the watch.
I don’t know why, I decided I needed a daily driver watch. The nice gold Hamilton certainly isn’t that. I had a Kenneth Cole skeleton I liked, but I somehow effed it up for the 2nd time, and I have a 15 year old Coach (needs a battery) and a Wenger Swiss Military Chrono (also needs a battery).
Anyway sometime around 11:30 PM, I was reading forum.headphones.com, and diddling around in another window, and well I can resist anything except temptation.
So this came yesterday. Sorry about the 2nd photo - I somehow got a fuzzy on it.
I banned “needs a battery” watches from my purchase options about 10 years ago. Mechanical is fine for purist moods, but I go solar for everyday use. Solar is waaaaaaaaay easier to live with on a tight schedule. Batteries die like “clockwork” every 2 years.
Pardon the delay. Band versatility is nice. The Santos is a classic and timeless design.
That looks so smoooooth, me like very much
