Listening to Hans Zimmer playlist right now, and everytime I do I just can’t believe my ears… this man and his musicians are incredible.

I just downloaded that one from Qobuz for my phone, I am really pretty stoked on
Qobuz’s selection so far for the most part.

I had the pleasure to be with my wife in his NYC concert of that tour back in 2018!! There is no words to describe the experience!!
For me he is in the same level as Morricone and/or John Williams .

Hans Zimmer is indeed a genius. I have 2 of his albums and hope to get more soon.

Electronic-funk has been one of my favorite guilty pleasure genres lately when I need something to get the blood flowing… here are a few tracks I’ve been digging lately lately:

I photographed these guys a couple times at shows, they are characters to say the least. This just reminded me of one of my favorite albums of theirs from 1996

You can hear how much better the production is on this album vs Vegas

Oh yeah, Vegas wasn’t done very well, but it still has a bunch of really fun songs.

For me Vegas was kind of their golden days. That album is what drew me into techno and edm. I still prefer electronic music that follows traditional song format - verse & chorus - vs the repetitive nature of trance and the like. The exception being Tycho and similar artists.

Thanks for the link to that album. I’ve got it playing now. :slight_smile: Not sure why it wasn’t already in my library.

I saw Nils Frahm in Montreal. The sub bass was unreal, it rattled all the bottles at the back of the theater.

Great song writers. The early stuff was almost on par with the Beatles but most people associate them with disco. Same for Jeff Lynne. His 2015 “Alone in the Universe” has quite a few well written songs. But I really like the acoustic renderings of his ELO classics;
