@ValentineLuke - I remember listening to this on cd in the car with my wife once. She said “I don’t like this music.” Might be why I’m into headphones now and not speakers.
Haha! There’s always a song, or even an entire genre that our partners don’t like.
This past week I have been evaluating my Focal Elegia, so a lot of mixed listening, though I have gone through two albums of Yosi Horikawa(Vapor and Spaces). The Elegia’s continues to impress me.
Also this thread is a great place to find new music.
It’s nice to get some samples of the ‘why’ for all of this headphone business.
Absolutely! So many of us get carried away, of what amp, dac, headphones, etc, etc. and forget the most important part of all of this…enjoying the music!
One of my favourite artists Clapton. I have also been going through my Amy Winehouse albums. So talented.
Some hip hop I’ve been enjoying for a while now, but not super popular is Mick Jenkins. The guy has a very satisfying voice and raps over really odd beats.
Cory Wong’s motivational music for the syncopated soul album has been one of my favorite recent jazz/funk vibes.
And I’m always rotating through my Indian music, I really enjoy Aashiqui 2, Dhoom 3, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana soundtracks
I love surprises like that! Went to a Dave Matthews concert at the gorge, and the Avett Brothers did a set, heard their murder in the city before but didn’t really know who they were… super cool experience!
He is one of the greats!
That genre is called Prog. Ever been to a Steve Hackett or King Crimson show? When I saw Crimson a few months back, they opened all of the women’s bathrooms up to the men, because there were no women. . .
Haha! No, I haven’t had the pleasure.
That’s funny.
I just received a new America SACD in the mail today. It’s amazing. After this I’m changing ‘horses’ to Styx.
Those look legit.
Two great albums. I have the America cut in the same version.

Not sure how well Qobuz sharing is, but there ya go.
Going down the Youtube rabbit hole this evening. I always end up back at this performance. I’m not a slipknot fan but the vocals here along with the audience harmony is just so well done.
My serious road song that I can play about 5 times and sing at the top of my voice is the Beatles, Back in the USSR.
I can understand why David
got a car playlist on Spotify with some obvious choices and fun stuff to sing loud with my wife
Nice! I am not real good with playlists. I have a great CD with Funkadelic and Parliament stuff on it a friend put together years ago, and I did a list with a bunch of California driving songs in the Beach Boy / Jan & Dean mode.
