How did you link this in the forum?
Shared from Tidal, copy link and pasted in to the forum.
This is musicianship at it’s finest. I come back to this often just to be reminded of how skilled some folks are. On Tidal.
Found a movie called The Guest on one of the online streaming services and was more impressed by the soundtrack than the movie itself.
I like it. It reminds me of something John Carpenter would do.
The movie is alright but the soundtrack is terrific - stayed up late last night listening to it.
Haha, so did I…
The movie is a love letter to synthwave.
Lately i’m addicted to these two with their video clips.
Lorn - Acid Rain
Massive Attack - The Spoils
Their video clips are big part of the experience.
Massive Attack remastered their album, Mezzanine, in 2019. Might want to check it out.
Phoebe Bridgers new album “Punisher” is out this week. I’m a few listens in and I think it’s damn good:
Got some goosebumps listening to The Other Side using the VC. Terrific instrumentals with samples of old public information archives from films, documentaries, events, etc etc
I thought I remembered hearing the Massive Attack song so I clicked on it to see if it was what I remembered and got some guy going nuts on a guitar. Thought this isnt what I remembered and then realized it was a f****ng youtube add.
Very atmospheric. Can really get a sense of the venue it was recorded in, which was an abbey in France. On Tidal (non MQA) or Primephonic (? high res). The Primephonic version is preferred: better sense of the space, more depth, more texture.
That reminds me, Yo-Yo Ma recently came out with a new album I think.
I’ll have to look into that. Thanks.
I keep hearing subtle breathing in this album lol.
