Tidal MQA or flac. Stumbled upon this a while ago but finally sat down to really listen to it only in the last week. Bright and vibrant plus really well mastered/produced/recorded, Janine Jansen as lead violinist really shines.
Doesn’t hurt that the album art shows her after a double Southern Comfort, and thinking about … maybe a little Offenbach.
Very good album. Just listened.
Mmmm Southern Comfort.

“Bold as Love” by Jimi Hendrix and “Strange Brew” by Cream have been my favorite songs this week–some really nice guitar riffs to be heard here!
Sometimes Clapton still plays some of the Cream stuff in concert. It’s always a treat. As far as Jimi goes - he died before I could see him. Crying shame.
I love Clapton’s playing, very influential on my own experiences as a guitarist. Hendrix’s early passing was definitely a shame, he was a genius with his guitar melodies, honestly.
You’re a little young for that, don’t ya think? ![]()
My generation, for instance, saw the early passing of Kurt Cobain.
Cheers.
Hahaha one is never too old or young for some Rock n Roll
@pennstac - The word “genius” often gets thrown around a lot.
But Hendrix truly was one in every sense of the word.
One of my personal favorites (listening to it a lot this week!):
1983…(A Merman I Should Turn to Be)

Electric Ladyland has been one of my favorite albums since it came out. I’m also fond of the tracks Crosstown Traffic and Still Raining, Still Dreaming. Not to mention my favorite COVER of all times, Jimi’s rendition of Dylan’s All Along the Watchtower.
Seriously people, if you somehow missed this album (Like Jimi was your Grandpa’s music) you really need to give it a careful listen. And as headphone freaks all of us, there is much to listen for. Although the Leslie speakers are incomparable live.
But I was looking to post something new or different in this topic. and yes, I checked out the new Tull.
But Tina Turner’s Foreign Affair was just released on Tidal Masters and Undercover Agent For the Blues is highly reccomended.
And somehow TIDAL is putting showtunes with orchestra in the “classical” section but I found this gem,
Which has a few to die for tracks - an Over the Rainbow that should be in your cover collection, a bit of Mary Poppins, and a soulful I Will Wait for You.
Yes, I have! I really like Jethro Tull.

Just some random music I’ve been listening to lately.
