Here’s something new that’s just out of the box – or package. New 8 strand pure silver braided IEM cable with silver connector and silver 4.4mm termination. If I want, I can order other ends – but Audeze supplies a single ended silver cable.
The workmanship on this is excellent, just jewel-like.
I think this is one of the very first silver cables from Hart. I knew James was working on getting the right components and I asked him real nice.

Recently built a Roon Rock. Saved some money with this build vs buying a nucleus plus. Really happy about getting it off my PC. Holo red should be coming in a few weeks (hopefully) and I should see some more improvements using i2S into the Wavelight.

I confess I didn’t know what a Roon ROCK was until I went to their website and did some reading.
What NUC is that? Is it in a heat sink of some kind? What did you build it with (spec wise)?

Did you kick the TDP back to 28 or lower on this build? I’ve thought about putting mine in this same case but the warning about using 28 or lower changed my mind. When i’ve adjusted my fan and kicked it back the TDP to 28 on my standard NUC case made it silent. I’d rather run it higher and shift my HQP processing off my mac mini onto this. Any insight is appreciated.
No and not having issues. Don’t use HQP currently tho. Turned off all fan options in bios.
Temps have been fine too.

Rock runs on Linux and it’s really a light load on the nuc. So I don’t think it’ll be anything to worry about. Just make sure temps are good.
I’ll give it a go, if it doesn’t work with HQP the way I want I’ll relegate it back to service as a NAA or set it up with ROCK and migrate Roon from my mac mini.
