What's in the box!

And Apple told you they are stylish? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Woo hoo! Santa Drop delivered my “Bizarro World Apple Airpods Max” yesterday!

Everything in it’s right place

Some assembly required

That’s better!

Initial impressions are good. VERY lightweight. I wouldn’t say they are comfortable but they are never uncomfortable. It feels like they are made out of styrofoam when on your head. Sound definitely requires a bass boost but they respond surprisingly well to EQ.

So excited to try my first pair of electrostats! :sunglasses:

DT1990 round two lol.
Needed a good gaming headphone since I no longer have the Hd800S…
I prefer the analytical pads for sure. Even like the analytical pads with music, though I won’t be using these for that purpose haha…yeah no. Just gaming

Wow!!! That was fast!!! Waiting for impressions, the more the merrier.
Enjoy.

Why not just get the Seen HD6XX for that purpose?

edit: Oh you list that you have the HD650…

The HD650 isnt going to be as good for FPS gaming. Need a little more stage and want a little more present upper mids and highs for steps and certain noises to pick up on movement. And better imaging.

Good to see a few folks getting these. Look forward to impressions or an attempted review.

I preordered these back in August for my son. Now they’ve become a Christmas present! :santa:t4: :christmas_tree::laughing:

I’d be very interested to know how Jotunheim II does with low impedance planar headphones :grinning:

In my excitement, I forgot to take a photo of the box, so you’ll just have to imagine a medium sized cardboard box.

Got my Zebrawood Aeolus yesterday, with Wenge stand. Thanks to everyone for giving me advice on whether or not to buy one. Even out of the box (of which which you hopefully still have an image in your head), it sounds great. It’s different from the Verite, but in a fun way.

I’m afraid I don’t currently own planars. I recently posted initial impressions to the Jot thread, based on listening with my ZMF and Senn cans.

Got a few new tubes for the Mogwai SE.

JJ KT88s, RCA 5691 red base, RCA 5U4G. I was previously getting some noise in the left channel which is now gone (the old GE 6SL7 GT was likely bad) and this thing is :ok_hand:

I may have also gotten a weird rectangle with a marble earlier in the week…

:Sraf:

Tell me more about this “marbles” purchase  how you liking it so far?
