Warm sounding, with a bit of sparkle and smoke.

Have you blind tested that assertion?

I have.

15 of my test subjects have filed their own results in something called a “class action” something or another. I asked them to wait until I could publish my findings, but science is so competitive ya know?

Anyway, all that is going to have to wait until I talk to this “judge” person who is going to grade my work, or something? I thought peer review was best done in a nice suit, but they want me to wear this orange jumper instead.

Things are fine.

I just swapped to the Verite pads on the VO and suddenly everything just fell into place. The thick, overly dark sound is gone. Now there is great synergy between the VO and Echo. Tube is life.

That’s awesome. It’s great that ZMFs and tube amps allow for this type of fine tuning. No need for further confessions

Did you find those in the classified section of the Pravda?

That’s an amp I really want to hear.

I got blackwoods in mail. Had to mod and remove dampening in front of the driver it was dulling the sound too much. Which is what I find with some of the zmf cans. Bass is really nice seem even from mids to highs with just some added bass to make it fun.

Pravda means true. My ancestors are from Kiev. I found on eBay. Same place I got my wife from. Return policy sucks. The tubes sound good almost quite.

Nice! When I was a kid, my best friend’s father was from Russia, although he was a child himself when he emigrated. He used to get the Pravda delivered to him so he could retain the ability to read Russian.

Bocote?

Agreed. Snazzy for second best!

I wonder if that little knot hole is why it is b-stock.

If yes, that’s silly. Wood isn’t plastic. It has imperfections, and that’s part of the beauty.

If it isn’t stabilized, it should be b stock. I agree that wood knots are not a problem, but as a guy that works with wood for a living, if I can’t guarantee it won’t split, it’s not 1st class.
