What's in the box!

I hear good things about the AIO… it is a nice looking bit of kit if nothing else!

Yeah.

DAC stage should be better than D50S.

Amp stage surely isn’t any drier than the THX. Has to be win…right?

One would think! lol…but, at the end of the day it only matters if “you” like it

Nonsense.

If it measures good it is good.

In before some comment on output impedance :stuck_out_tongue:

Output impedance on the D7XS is 20 ohms … which means it’ll be under-damped and exhibit a tonal shift (generally at least bass lift and lack of low-end control) with lower-impedance headphones (under about 150 ohms).

More of an issue with dynamics than planars, in that regard.

However, all low impedance headphones used with the DX7S will result in a disproportionate amount of power being lost in the amp itself. A Focal Stellia would only see 3/5ths of the available power. RAD-0 would see about 3/10ths. AEON 2 would get less than half.

@Torq the real hero of the forum! I’m drinking an Old fashioned right now… Miss our conversations =) looking forward to this whole stay at home deal to be over.

Yeah. Should be ok enough on the Verite for a while.

Could transport some amount of audio gear in them…
and there will always be a place for my audio Peli Micro cases with the ifi xDSD and IEMs.

I am a bag addict and love Fjällräven. Own F. clothes like Jackets, Trousers, Shorts and other stuff …
Fjällräven was the first with framed backpacks and double-wall tents, if you are interested

We already have a super heavy “military grade” 85 liter backpack with many pouches(adding up to 25 liters)on the outside, for some “glamping” overnighters … and dozens(Photo, urban, outdoor, …) of sub 50 liter ones.

with these Fjällräven Abisko 65 and Kaipak 58 liter backpacks, the hole in the middle gets filled.g

the now bought blue Abisko is the predecessor of the famous Kajka and it’s carrying system is not AS clever(Kajka has the best carrying system on the market- in my humble opinion)compared to the Kajka(follow up of the blue Abisko), though it fits me very good. The Abisko has the better bottom sektion, where you can mount something under the bag and is more durable vs the Kajka.
While the Kajka would have been double the price with it’s wood frame and the recycled material…
Both have the huge front opening, what was important to me.

Had already tried both new bags with around 30 pounds Equipment(outoor + photography)for some minutes and I enjoy both. The green is wider in size though has a smaller central front opening while the blue has the huge one and is longer.

All people loved the pine green of the 58 liter one and the material IS stellar! - similar to the Kajka
The blue is my favorite for now
it’s also bigger and has some more features.
Wanted this time some friendly colors and less boot camp style … Tasmanian Tiger has to offer and we have bags with the Carbon(my EDC), camo, sand, green colours

Quick A/B done.

Topping maybe a touch looser down low, but I’m not disliking it. I find the SMSL sounds a bit unnatural, think the DX7 nudges in a bit there.

Otherwise, fairly similar. Nice all in one. Better volume knob.

If you were to listen to one for a day, sleep on it, next for a day. Probably wouldn’t notice any difference.

Also take with big grain of salt. Using Verite Suede pads, and they dull everything a bit too.

The case makes it more grippy?
If so, I am Full in!

Use Alcantara cases for my two mobiles phones and Micarta on most knives, cause I need the grip.
Can’t stand silikone or rubber in my hands!

It does @MartinTransporter, Is no G-10 or Micarta, but it does give it better grip. This case works for me as this is to protect the SR15 when walking with the baby and the SR15 is on the stroller’s case box

YES! Perfect!
That is the other point I like.
The units stays, where you place it.

It’s these small things

Recieved today a mail from one of our german online stores, where I bought the ifi xDSD. They have now the SR25 for 769 Euro without the case or 799 with one of the 3 cases included.
The SR15 version went down to 649 Euro
