The Hugo 2 pairs extremely well with the Vérité … both open and closed.
The picture, below, is with the open-back version, but it pairs just as nicely with the closed-back Vérité. And engaging the Hugo 2’s cross-feed option works especially well with the VC.
More power than I can comfortably tolerate, with headroom to spare.

Thank you kind Sir! Appreciate your input, I will most likely go with the open-back version even though I will be using them on travel. Not during travel as airplane noise does not make an enjoyable experience.

Ah those! I think the only place you can get them is from Solen. I don’t know why they carry that given that Solen is mostly known as purveyor of high-end and very high-end speaker drivers and crossover parts. Browse the site, it’s worth it. Here’s the link to the 422H, prices quoted are in Canadian currency so you pay less if you use US currency.
