I don’t find them brighter. They definitely don’t feel as lively, but comfort (especially for glasses wearing people) is much better with the Suedes.

Did any of you guys need to bend your head band to apply more clamp force?
I am wondering because it seems to be a common thing on the Auteur.

I’ve had to do that on all my ZMFs. I bent mine in the middle to make the headband more of a V shape, and I also gave a slight tilt in to the sides so they pushed in a bit more.

I was always a Blues Brothers guy, but no head shape jokes avaliable to us in that film!
I got in the my stand and Be2 pads. I think I like the Hybrid Perf Be2’s the most so far.
Only difference I can tell is the amount of holes the Be2 has vs the normal Verite Pads, other then that they measure the same in size.
Honestly its hard to say which is the best, they are good at different things.
I think it boils down to preference, but now I’m loving the Be2 suede perforated pads.
Yeah that’s what I’m using right now. I find you do lose a bit of the soundstage, certain elements sound a bit more forward, but it also adds a bit more presence in the upper mids. Overall a more linear sound I find.
Ordered a set of Universe Hybrid Perf.
And the padded suede strap I saw someone here had with this Aeolus. Zach/Bevin offered the strap for the price of postage only, which is amazing, so ordered some pads too.
Will report back once it arrives, and how the comfort is.

Congratulations! This Pendant amp intrigues me a lot. I would love to listen to it, and to other Ampsandsound head amps. Unfortunately they are not available in France. Lucky you are guys, having such great artisans in the USA.
Do you have access to this company? They are based in Poland. Looks like they have a pretty good footprint in Europe.
