But this is all good info, def worth keeping in mind for the ordering process. Then there’s the internal struggle about which pads to order… ho boy!

Been burning my Vérité OB Ltd for approx. 120 hrs. I committed myself not to hear at it for long sessions during this time period. Just short sound checks from time to time. From a check to another, these dudes are becoming increasingly glorious. Sound stage is spectacular, something between Sennheiser HD800 and Abyss. Mids are luxurious and very engaging. Bass are now blooming and getting more impactful. Can’t wait to reach the 300 hrs recommended by other owners. My preferred pads are the Universe Perforated Suede.

That’s getting me excited for my VCs! I’m in the 40s for them with a Pendant, and was wondering if it was more of the 2-4 week wait time or 4-6 week wait time variety haha

They are still moving in, shouldn’t be fully moved in until end of Oct-Nov, they are focused on getting all the headphone orders completed over moving into the new space =)… and yeah they are cranking on getting them done=)

I’m so happy mine are out of ‘machining’ and now in ‘sanding’. I’ve already requested a last minute change in the stain color. Anything else I should think about? I ordered the regular ZMF wooden case because I’m sure it looks gorgeous but does anyone think the seahorse case is actually more practical?
The presentation case is not something I would feel comfortable traveling with, at all. It’s a nice case, but I don’t think it’s very sturdy. It’s for presentation.
If I need to store the headphones, hypothetically, I would still feel more comfortable in the seahorse case as I can seal it air tight in case of moisture accident. If I had to transport them, again, seahorse case. Otherwise, the headphone sits on a headphone stand, which means I don’t need a case at that moment, so…
Yeah, seahorse is more practical.

I don’t expect to travel with mine much and preferred the presentation box…
If I do end up traveling with them, I figured I could pick up a pelican case (or similar) at any time, but the only place/time I could get the zmf case was now

Thanks. Having just rescheduled our trip to Costa Rica to next spring (and the way things are looking, I’m expecting to reschedule again), we rented a cabin in the woods in Michigan this week. If this is the new norm for vacations, I was thinking that I should be able to bring audio equipment with me in the car that I wouldn’t have considered “travel worthy” in the past. So I think I’ll pester Bevin one more time with a last minute change to the seahorse case.
BTW, I’m also trying to convince myself that needing something for a driving vacation is a great reason to buy a Focal Arche, especially since I can get $1000 off. But that is for another thread.

I’ve hit Sanding & Finishing… and getting giddy!
I understand the reasoning and practicality of the seahorse case, but I looked at it a little differently. I plan for this to be a permanent purchase, sort of a heirloom item, and felt the wooden case better represented that, so I went that way. Also, the seahorse case seems reasonably priced if I wanted to buy that separately down the line.

Quite right. Good point. Also, you can get an aftermarket seahorse case separately (or a ZMF one direct from Zach, I would assume) to shore up any travel requirements at any time. The display case… hmm, good luck.

Ooh, case rolling… I wonder if I can custom request a different stain for the wooden box. In that case (pun intended), I might stick with the wood so that I could collect different colors.

I now need all the cases!!! I did notice I don’t have the latest ZMF wood case logo design… I now wants… I shall now ping @ZMFheadphones and request all the woods all the time!!! also all the plastics all the time!!!
