So interestingly it does have a ‘power in’ RCA which bypasses the tube input stage, turning it into a full solid state amp.
That was intended for their upcoming tone control product but I can’t see why it wouldn’t be able to be used to just have the Kallyste run as a solid state. I unfortunately didn’t try that out though
@GoldenSound You are totally right.
The future tone controller will be placed in between the Pre Out and the Power In.
The Power In RCA allows you to use any preamplifier of your own and connect to the Amplifier stage of the Amethyste which is solid state driven.
Shout out to DMS for being so friendly despite there being a line to talk to him! Also his headphones were one of the highlights of the show for me. I’m going to pick up a pair.
