Had a closer look at my existing Mojo and Poly combo last night after posting my question and I figured from the curved internal shape of the mating surface on the Poly, making the join between them flush when connected, it was highly unlikely the Mojo 2 would alter that.
If they ever make a Poly 2/mk II it would be great if they could add a data pass through port in addition to the charging USB port, so that you could still use it as a DAC for another device without having to split them apart.
