Thank you. She certainly is but she’s one of many. But to me she’s certainly the very best.

Ok not to take away from the meaning of this in anyway…I read this wrong initially and all I could think of was “How does Prfallon have time for more than one wife???” lol…

Hahaha, ooops I didn’t spot that. Thanks for pointing it out Tyler. It does make me seem like I keep a Harem.

Bless you!! Hospital nurses are the backbone of our country in many ways. She will be OK, I’m sure…and earn her ticket into heaven in the process!

This damn crisis is running my family ragged. My wife is a Family Nurse Practicioner and a manager at our regional medical group. Her team is part of the outpatient emergency reasonse so she has about like 25 hours per day of work and is very stressed. In the meantime I work for one of the big national labs doing the COVID-19 testing. I’m expected to work from home unless absolutely necessary, and have been utterly slammed with our part in all this.

In the meantime my 12 year old is grumpy and a little frightened, and my 8 year old is bouncing off the walls! Our house is a mess, we’re behind on laundry, and my daughter’s math teacher just emailed us telling that we’ve missed a couple assignments and it’s “critical that the kids don’t fall behind!” Aaarrggghhh!!

Thank you for letting me vent. We’ll be fine, just needed to get that off my chest. Haha!

Oh I totally understand. I thank you for you and your wife’s input in all this. You both have very important jobs so stay well for all of us and especially your family.

My co-workers were wondering why the heck I am using some cheapo Plantronics headset in our video chats lately… so i present to you, my scrounged-together hi-res audio conference call headphone:

In more serious news, I found out one of my friend’s relatives passed away today due to the virus, and also the owner of a restaurant nearby my house also passed this week from it. Sad times.

Hope everyone is staying safe!!!

Sorry to hear that it’s hitting close @antdroid , everyone stay safe!

(BTW, I was proud of my Porta-Pros as my conference headset but I think you you may have slightly better resolution  )

My local sushi place is providing a roll of toilet paper with each delivery. It’s that institutional scratchy stuff, but still genius!

But it is Facial Quality

At any other point in history, a restaurant providing a roll of TP with each order would have been a sure sign to not order from that restaurant

to be honest - it should be still - in my humble opinion

all idiots horting stuff or buying before someone else … this behaviour is bringing/getting the sheeps to panic for no reason

if they give you with every order a roll, someone else did not get - it´s in my eyes something to stop

since weeks we did not have had any problems with buying any stuff in munich
so I am not angry out of this standpoint

we don´t watch news on TV all the time or read online news every day - there won´t be much changes
AND I got away from checking forums a few times a day, cause EVEN here, it´s making me mad how people or companies act in this crisis

I prefer to chill and check less often what comes up in these special threads for my mental health

I don’t know how many know but Linsoul is giving one face mask with each order. Sucks for the rest of the family.

To be fair to the restaurant, they probably had a large supply, then closed their doors except for take out. Since there are few patrons, they have a surplus of the valuable TP commodity.

Linsoul is also donating a supply of masks to various hospitals in the US. She’s planning on ‘drop shipping’ some to drop.com and myself to distribute to local area hospitals. She sent me a few masks for my family too. Very generous.

Penon Audio is also doing the same thing as well as Hifiman via their website for orders.

Intel is also planning or already distributing face masks from their emergency stock at their semi-conductor plants.
Those masks will likely be much more than adequate as they are clean-room equipment and not “just medical grade”.

Note that “surgical steel” means a really mediocre knife blade. They are made for cutting soft tissue followed by rapid disposal.

Good time now to buy music on qobuz and help your favorite artists:
(as of 3/27): For the next two weeks, Qobuz, the streaming service (which also offers downloads) will be waiving its revenue share, passing 100% of revenue on to the rights-holders (including musicians).
