Panic gun buying became a thing over the last 5 days:

Washington stay home shelter in place now. We’ve had a couple warehouses from brands cease shipping because of these in various states and provinces.
We are in Shelter In Place here in Austin, Tx as Midnight tonight until 13th of April.
Same here in Los Angeles, though not as stringent.
We’re actually getting one of the Hospital ships porting soon. USS Mercy, I believe.
Here in PA, the situation is desperate. As we are near shelter in place (not me, I’m “critical infrastructure”), our state liquor stores have closed. And apparently state regulation restricts mail order liquor from out of state. That leaves in-state botique distilleries, like “Big Spring” in Bellfonte, PA, to satisfy any demand by outside pickup and remote shipping. And they have patriotically started turning waste ethanol in their production into hand sanitizer.
We’re not that far from each other, I’m in Houston. Gotta keep in touch for some possible meets when this crisis is history.
Washington is about to go through an increase of infections based on the reports I was reading today, same as New York and California.
Nevada has told all non essential businesses to shut down for 30 days or face fines or revocation of business licenses. If anyone knows any businesses that need Product Photography hook a brother up!!! All my photography events I was booked for over the next two months have either been cancelled or rescheduled.
I am very happy to have our health and time with my family. Our house and Garage has never looked so clean lol. Stay safe and healthy everyone!
That would be fun when this is over. I drove over to Houston once and while for work.
Stay safe everyone. It is like hell here at the moment (Spain) and doesn’t seem to be getting any better in the short term.
My son (17) was rushed into hospital last week with a heart issue but we are lucky to be in a small region where there are relatively few cases so there was space for him in intensive care. He has recovered enough to be sent home and when we left the hospital on Monday the ICU was already filling up quickly with cases.
Confinement is a PITA but I am grateful to be able to be home with my family. For us as adults it a huge inconvenience but for those that don’t understand what is going on it is like punishment. My younger son (16 months) is getting crazier day by day as he cannot understand why we can’t leave the house!
Stay safe, I hope your son is doing better with the heart issue.
I’m in New Jersey, but only 10 miles from Times Square in Manhattan and NY is the chaos point at this moment in the US. We have two kids ( 5 and 4 years old) and after 5 days of lockdown we have no more ideas
.
My wife lived in Spain during all the 90’s, she love your country!!.
So glad to hear your son is on the mend. It must have been hell for you.
It looks like my Daughter got out of Madrid just in time. She was living in the very centre just off the main square. I will have to ask her what street. She’s been there for 6 months till end of January studying during her year abroad Spanish/Portuguese degree. She then moved to Porto for 6 Months. Luckily we told her to get home 12 days ago as her University shut and everything else closed. So glad she’s home. As you say Spain is getting it really bad now. Were a few weeks behind supposedly here in the UK. Were on lockdown now since Monday. But of course I have been anyway. Best of luck with your son and whole family. That goes for everyone else aswell.
@SenyorC, I’m glad to hear that your son is home with you. There’s nothing we wouldn’t do for our children. Thank God whatever issue your son had was resolved quickly enough to be discharged before any chaos set in.
@Hansel, that’s a tough one to with two little ones so close in age. My hands were full with one, I can only imagine when they were toddlers not so long ago!
I loved building forts with my son (and nephew who’s older when he was around). That’s a fun way that would eat up hours of time. Indoor camping is a similar thing that’s as fun. You could even treat it as a safari…
Just some ideas. (Also LEGO’s
)
@prfallon69, So glad you got your daughter home in time before the shutdown.
Be safe, everyone. It’ll get a little bumpy before she levels out passing through this storm.
Thanks a lot!! Is tough but I love spend time with them!! My daughter turn 4 this past Sunday ( a lockdown birthday ) and my son will turn 5 in a month ( maybe still in lockdown).
Thankfully we have a backyard to free them for two, three hours a day if not raining.
It’s funny that in NJ my vape shop has to close but the liqueur store stays open.
Hi - I am very sorry to hear that your son had an emergency but I am glad to hear he is recovering. I hope he and your family are doing well and staying safe amidst this chaos. Best wishes!
We are about to go on a mandatory “Stay Home. Stay Healthy.” mandate locally here. Probably should have sooner, though I don’t think people have been violating social distancing as bad here as other places it seems. Guess that’s the advantage that if you go to our “beaches” you’ll get hypothermia.
Our COVID death numbers have now surpassed common flu-related deaths in our state.
I hope everyone is hanging in there. At least we have our headphones and audio gear to keep us company through this tough time.
Thank you all for the kind words, they are greatly appreciated.
I hope all of you stay safe and that this passes as soon as possible and with as little pain as possible.
Mr. Fallon, I was wondering how you were doing with your situation and what’s happening with covid in the UK. Glad to hear you’re doing well and actually finding more time for music. Stay safe!
I have been told to stay indoors for at least 12 weeks. My only issue is that my wife is an Intensive Care Nurse and will be looking after Covid-19 patients very soon. I am worried but what can I do. Everyone is in same boat. Thanks for your concern and please stay safe and well.
