Those are cool. Just found an inexpensive beige version and orange Yaxi pads and theyāre on their way.
I hadnāt even heard of these things 10 minutes ago.

Thatās the beauty of this forum, it introduces you to things you may have never been exposed to previously. And in this case, it didnāt cost an arm and a leg!
Iād listen to them for a bit before swapping out the pads so as to have a more accurate baseline of their sound.

Iām not worried, they retail from $25-$60. Thatās less than most cables recommend here!

These might sound as good-- but Iād feel less comfortable getting caught in them.

From what I gather, the KPH-30ās have a more āneutralā tuning or, less bass. I havenāt heard them yet, but Iāll probably pick up a pair.
The Yaxi pads supposedly fit these, but I canāt verify.

Yeah itās not a mod really so much as a headband and pad swap. Just snap the Porta Pro cups off from the original headband and onto the Parts Express headband. I also swapped to Yaxi pads too but I need to double check the originals again now that the treble is much better from the lower clamp

I got my son a pair of classics for Christmas. Heās barely taken them off since - except heās mostly listening to minecraft and youtube videos! How long does it take for the yaxi pads if you order from the japanese site? (Iām in California.)
