Amen, brother. There are gifts and lessons even on our worst days.

Thank you.

How about Helen Merill’s Don’t Explain (if you’re up for some jazz)? Helen Merill by Helen Merrill on TIDAL

I love jazz! Thank you! I’ll check it out!

Listening now with Elegia and Kann Cube on the couch sipping my second cocktail this time with bourbon whiskey not rye whiskey… other than that same ingredients…

This is a good combo… makes me feel like I’m home with my grandparents and Dad listening to jazz… Very cool!

Cheers!

That woodforest though!

I would go with something like Tunnel Blanket from This Will Destroy You.

Dad could play guitar a little. When I was a kid in Columbia Missouri, he and several of his friends - used to sit around having drinks and sing a few folk songs. Rye Whisky was a favorite song, but Canadian Club or Dewars was the favorite drink. The friends included other young professors, a crop-duster, and sometimes the half-Cherokee mushroom hunter down the street. Sounds much more picturesque than it was. Hot June nights on the screened porch, fireflies, and before dark I’d ride my JC Higgins 24 inch bicycle around with probably now valuable baseball cards flapping in the spokes with clothespins for motorcycle sounds.

I think that back then the Tex Ritter version was the model.

Never tried this mix before. Quite OK actually:

It paired better with a playlist from the 70s:

Cheers.

Bundaberg are on the sweeter side of Root Beers that I’ve had. It could be that they seem less carbonated.

I bought a 4-pack because of your picture, a few weeks ago. :facepunch:

Never had it before. Not a soda kind of guy either.
