Guayabita del Pinar (Seca)

Guayabita - my favorite Cuban drink, and one of my favorites of all time. Technically a flavored rum, it comes off as a very fine brandy. The flavoring is from the small berry-like guavas that grow primarily in the Pinar river region. A 10 out of 10. If you ever get the opportunity. Comes in sweet and dry, I prefer the dry.

I’m forever grateful to my Admin and her family that travel home to Cuba and sometimes bring back a bottle for me.

Have you tried the alternate headphone jack…it slightly mellows everything out…at least for me…it is a subtle difference but there. Also, my man! Whiskey and tubes my kind of start to a weekend!

Cheers!

You’re doing this right. I like the Abelour-- have you tried A’bunadh as well?

I’ve never had this! No distribution outside of Cuba? I’d love to try it.

I’ve checked online and there are a few places to order outside the US. Since it’s not well known, it’s also not hideously expensive.

My struggle, is deciding which whiskey to drink…

If not apparent…I’m on a Bourbon and Rye kick…and seeing as it’s fRYEday… I guess I’ll have a dram of Rye! :face_with_monocle::tumbler_glass:

When I’m not sure what spirit to drink, I go for a Long Island Iced Tea. Probably pairs well with the Ramones.

It was all Irish for me today. Just finished a lovely bottle of Red Breast, Lustau Edition while listening to the tune, Race to the Bottom off of Glen Hansard’s new album, This Wild Thing. I like this Red Breast add:

For some reason when I upload this to forums the color gets washed out… I guess I could try and over saturate in photoshop and see if that helps…but ANGTFT :wink: lol

You are correct! Also just picked up 2019 batch of High West Bourye! I haven’t popped the Batch 5 yet but the Bourye is Def worth it if you are a bourbon rye fan like me!

WHAT DOES MUSIC TASTE LIKE?

Hmmm. I think she needs to taste Osbourne Brothers and corn liquor. Then Blue Oyster Cult and MD 20/25 (a mix of MD20/20 and C20H25N3O)

If anyone likes Calvados, Trader Joe’s is carrying a pretty good variant for $20/fifth. Calvados, is French Apple Brandy. Kind of a change up from Cognac. One of my favs.

YIKES! You have a Trader Joe’s that sells liquor! Not in Pennsylvania. I’m jealous, and yes I like Calvados.

My shipping address is available to you on request.

Most of the west half of the USA has liquor in supermarkets, drug stores, and Costco! And they have gigantic liquor supermarkets such as Binny’s and BevMo. The east has British Colonial and Temperance Movement (mid 1800s) laws.
