Hello Everyone!
I am new to the forum, been more of a loudspeaker listener in the past.
Music is a big part of my life, it makes me feel emotions. Love for music started when I was young, played tracks everyday from an old stereo that my dad got me.
I bought my first real sorta hi-fi system when I was fifteen. Fast forward some years, I still remember the album we listened to when my son was born.
My living room audio setup is dedicated to speaker listening: it consists of Lyngdorf Audio TDAI-2200+ADC/RP amp and CD-1 transport driving a pair of System Audio Explorer loudspeakers.
I purchased my first serious pair of headphones two months ago: finally settling on a pair of Audeze LCD-2F 2020’s when I read @Resolve’s great review Audeze LCD-2 Review - Best planar magnetic headphone under $1000?.
I have to say that despite the weight, they are very confortable and the sound is awesome when EQ’d. For now I’m using a silver iFi iDSD Micro that I’ve had many years as a DAC/AMP.
Been enjoying my stay here at the forum, there’s so much to read

Greetings all.
Whilst I have a decent 2 channel setup I now spend 95% of my listening time with headphones thus eliminating the room interactions.
I have two setups in two rooms - one is Stax based with a CD player as a source using a Kevin Gilmore GG design and 009s.
The other is streamer based with an Auralic, Aqua r2r dac and Manley headamp powering Stellias and hd 800S.
It all sounds ok using aftermarket cables.

That’s a beautiful implementation. There are some e-stat threads and topics here. Someday I’ll upgrade to newer STAX, but I took a detour into the Nectar Hive. I’ve looked at the Mjolnir KG stuff, and have a Mjolnir-modified older Stax tube amp. Not familiar with Grounded Grid, but it looks gorgeous.
