Greetings from Delaware,
I have spent the last 20 years with some fine audio systems, but I have recently been diagnosed with Central Auditory Processing Disorder which makes it pretty much impossible for me to distinguish sound location/ direction coming from my speakers (even in the near field). The good news, however, is that headphone listening works well for me. I currently have an ancient (vintage) pair of Sennheiser HD 424’s run through either my Leben or my Macintosh integrated amps. This setup sounds good but I am interested in upgrading my headphones.

Just chiming in here to say thank you to the team for creating my favorite customer experience ever online. No hyperbole here, just a perfect mixture of clear, friendly communication and excellent customer service.
I’ve been into audiophile stuff starting with my first pair of HD600’s back when there was like 12 people posting on the HeadFi forums and and nobody quite knew exactly what a headphone amp was, exactly.
Caught the sale on the Clear recently and I’m now a Focal fanboy. Thanks guys!

Welcome. There are so many great headphones and many brands, I’d say check out some of the different posts regarding popular brands like Focal, Sennheiser, ZMF, and Audeze (a brand I own and very much enjoy), to name a few. There are also some great people on here ( @TylersEclectic ) who’ve listened to many pairs that I’m certain they’ll be happy to guide you. Good luck.

@ValentineLuke You’re right! I wasn’t trying to be dismissive of other brands at all as I really haven’t branched out to try much yet. I have heard amazing things about all of the flagships and know roughly they all have their own strength/character and all do something special the others can’t. It’s an amazing hobby and I have nothing but respect for everyone here. Cheers

Hello everybody. Brazil in da house. New in the forum. Just started this headphone thing in 2016 with a hd600. Now I own some (Utopia, LCD3, Autuer Teak, Hekv2 and waiting a Verite C Ironwood). Other just gone (Hd600, Hd800, Focal Clear). Bought and sold a lot of gear and now have a rme adi 2 dac, a Headamp GSX mini and a Little Dot MkVI+. Thanks for let me in. Nice participate in a comunity that like/love the same things.
