No problem. You did well
So, may I assume you are a Highlander from the Planalto Brasileiro, and not Scotland? If so, you cover a lot more territory.
Sure you don’t. You just swimming in suco de maracuja. Just like I don’t drink guarana and vodka.
Clan macleod spread across the world:joy:
Suco de maracuja is very nice. Specially in the summer. Dont drink Vodka with guarana? Neither do I. Im a beer guy.
I have a friend in clan Macleod. He migrated all the way to England from the Hebrides. We shared many a fine dram when he traveled to the states.
Hello and welcome @TheHighlander. That’s an impressive list of gear you have. Enjoy.
Hi Everyone,
I’m new here been poking around for a few days, really loving the community so far. I’ve only been listening to “decent” headphones for a few years, so I don’t have a ton of experience but I’m hoping to get some time with some more gear through the preview program. My current daily driver is a Sennheiser HD 58x with a fiio e07k amp. I also own a pair of akg k553 pros that I use when I want a little more isolation and more punch in the bass then what the 58x can deliver. My wife owns a pair of HiFi man Sundara’s that I really like as well, I tend to prefer the more intimate nature of the 58x but when I want a little more detail those are my go to’s.
Currently I’m listening to the Massdrop X Koss ESP/95x that I have on loan through a preview program that Mass drop is sponsoring on reddit. These do a lot of things really well, and I’m really enjoying my time with them so far. I haven’t had them for very long yet just a day so I don’t want to say to much before I get some more time with them.
I’m looking forward to interacting with everyone, everybody seems super nice and helpful. My wife and I are planning on going to CanJam in Cali next year so maybe I will be able to meet some of you in person then.
Welcome to the friendliest place in hifi, Steven!
Steven
I’ve had HD-580s since about when they came out. Picked up the HD-6xx about 6 months ago. Very much in the same family, but with enough power in the amp, the HD-6xx really does provide that bit of bass that is missing and also improves overall. I use the Schiit Lyr3 with them usually, but they are almost as good powered from the iFi xDSD. I think you would like the HD-6xx if your usual headphone is the HD-58x.
I’d like to hear more from you about the KOSS ESP/95x. My first experience with electrostatics was with a KOSS ESP-6. Yes, that dates me somewhere in the pre-Cambrian age.
Good to see that you made it to the Intro section.
Welcome Steven.
I’ve been thinking about picking up the 6xx and probably will eventually heard lots of good things about them.
As for the ESP/95x i’m thinking about using it for my impressions post in order to qualify for Tier 3 of the preview program. In the meantime if you have any specific questions feel free to ask.
Hi i used to be a user of the Reddit headphone community. Got bored since its downvote central and just crap imho. My daily gear is the ER4SR.
Welcome to the forum.
Howdy new folks!
Hello and welcome @like_jackal.
Hello, I just joined. I’m terrible at understanding how to post and talk in forums.
Hello again
For the life of me I can’t figure out how to post. I must be pretty darn dense.
First, welcome!
