Soooo so good! Thank you for the finds!!
Been jamming a lot of Yes lately. Also Grateful Dead and John lee Hooker.
Agree, been following them since the late 60’s
Someone mentioned In The Air Tonight recently, I think it was in @MRHifiReviews test track playlist. So, grabbed the old CDs, ripped them to lossless and … back in the 80ies!!
I find more and more that those 80ies CDs were really well recorded and mastered.
I bought the Phil Collins 4 cd set from Costco with lawn mowing earnings.
Looks like I’ll be detouring down memory lane today!
Genesis self titled alblum, home by the sea was a favorite of mine. Good album. Might have to give this album a listen to tonight.
Lovely note on the CD:
“Because of its high resolution, however, the Compact Disc can reveal limitations of the source tape.”
I agree, Home By The Sea is also a favorite of mine. ‘Genesis’ was the first Genesis album I bought and possibly the first rock album I’d ever listened to as a kid, so the 11 minutes of Home By The Sea & Second Home By The Sea blew my puny little mind at the time.
BTW, did you mean to say ‘self-titled album’ instead of first album? It was their 12th.
you are correct, self titled. I updated my post…
Some fantastic choices of music Marcello. All of them right down my street.
I think your street and mine are on the same part of the map.
Matrix i3 Mini I pro - iFi Pro iCAN - He6seV2
Oh boy! Forthcoming HE6se V2 review?
This made it into my YouTube suggested videos list, and I thought to myself:
“Self, that sure is an attractive glass of whiskey. Maybe you should check that out.”
It’s pretty good.
It’s not so much that you talk to yourself as it is that you listen.
I’ve developed a fondness for Blues over the past few years, Whiskey however I must avoid due to health issues.
