Is Tracy still as full of uplifting joy as she was on her first albums?
I always thought of it as music to slit my wrists to.
Bruce Springsteen “Nebraska”
Awww, in quoting, you made it obvious. You need 2 levels of sub tags to bury it in tiny print.
I don’t like all of her songs. It’s just not my thing. She has quite a few songs that are absolutely works of art that I certainly do appreciate regardless of that.
Oh man, you have some real classics there. Real smooth romancing music from Lionel and of course who can forget the the brilliantly upbeat Staying Alive from the Bee Gee. Great stuff.
Somei Satoh, “Emerald Tablet/Echoes”.
Stunning repress from WRWTFWW (plays from centre to the outer which makes it sound even stranger).
I am completely obsessed with billie. I renamed my headphones billie after her. Because I didn’t even like her music much until I got these headphones. ;). So good.
LOL, that’s awesome @Dynamic . I really like her music as well. Her brother tends to produce it a bit hot in the BASS region which normally is ok as long as you like bass and go into it with that understanding. This album is a winner for me with the exception of two tracks that her brother just dropped the ball on from a production perspective. I believe the tracks are NDA and Therefore I am if memory serves me correctly. There was so much bass distortion whether intentional or not on a couple of the tracks that I had to just skip them after already listening to them once the other day. The second go-round they were a hard pass for me! Not sure what his goal was with the production on them or if this was just an accident. Other than that the album is great.
I love both of them! And I don’t hear anything I would call distortion. Well, I guess I would call it intentional. There is a drum type sound that sounds like it was artificially distorted to me (Specifically on NDA). But I have never heard that low bass breaking distortion. But, I just love everything about it. Her music goes from raw and a bit intense/distorted to this graceful gorgeous stuff.
I actually have the ananda on my head. They arrived quickly.
Royal Blood’s third and latest album. This one is produced by Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age). Bass haters need not apply.
This track really shows off what my Hifiman HE6se can do
If you like Blues guitar, this has been one of the best finds I’ve come across in a LONG time.
Another good find:
