Funny, I was just looking for that Plini album on Qobuz this morning and they don’t have it. Watched GoldenSounds review of the Bifrost2 yesterday and he raved about it. Really want to listen to it on my Hd800s I just got yesterday.
I think I found out about it from that same review…
It’s an excellent album. Very different from what I usually listen to.
Just adding links to find the album for those of us you made curious.
This album belongs to a genre I like to think of as EDA: electronic dance ambient.
Rough-edged, minimalist, acoustic modern guitar compositions, recorded to include all the finger squeaks and string buzz and the feel of the room. Really beautiful.
Not quite Yosi Horikawa, but similar for sure.
Listening to My My, Hey Hey reminded me of this music video that I haven’t seen since I was a teenager. Not your typical Neil Young, but I love this version of the song and the video is just perfect.
@AudioTool - speaking of different Neil Young - his experimental electronic album Trans is pretty interesting for how different it is - Open Qobuz
