Breakfast, take an egg and turn it into an individualized meal…Since i had some leftovers an egg sammich’ was in order. Who says you can’t have pot-roast for breakfast? Turn it into some home-fried potatoes and steak🤗
The everything bagel is a nice touch. Years ago, Burger King, I think it was, came out with a breakfast bagel. They showed their profound lack of understanding when they offered 3 versions. Bacon, ham, or sausage bagel. Not even a cream cheese, and certainly they wouldn’t fool around with nova lox.
I’ve decided that if I’m ever on death row, my last meal will be barbecue. I would honestly rather have $20 in BBQ from ZZQ in Richmond, Virginia than $100 in steak from anywhere I’ve ever had steak. This includes high-end USA, Italian, and Japanese steaks. Steak is too polite and never has the texture, character, or zing of slow smoked meats.
One test of a BBQ restaurant is whether the turkey tastes good. Almost anyone in the business (Southeast US) seems able to produce decent pulled pork, and most can deliver decent brisket. But, bad BBQ turkey is common and bad BBQ turkey tastes no better than soggy plasterboard.
My “last meal” would probably be a Cesar Salad with Salmon. I love a good Cesar Salad.

I would have said prime rib but now you’ve got me thinking about BBQ…
I think I’d like to finish with some 50 year old cognac, with the oldest vintage being 2020.
I didn’t think about desert, but that pecan pie looks delicious.
That’s crafty! Well done
There were some slow cooked ribs, jalapeño corn bread, spicy corn and simple baked beans, soothing music in the background and a girlfriend I adore, perfect evening.
Looks delicious!
Couldn’t ask for more. Maybe a second helping of cornbread…
Found this thread now. How could I miss This?
Going to share my stuff later.
let’s refesh it with the special lunch box
This was some next level flavors…really top notch meal.
Slow oven roasted mixed cherry tomatoes w/ onions in basil, garlic, s&p and EVO.
Well marinated farm raised pork tenderloin, evo, red pepper flake, garlic, onion powder.
Potato Gnocchi. There was a splash of plum wine tossed in at the end and the flavors were allowed to slow simmer for a few minutes together. First time i tried this combo and it was so damned good.
I don’t eat pork, but that sure looks tasty!
Nice assembly of flavors. Synergy?!
How about a low country boil, with corn, shrimp, potatoes, smoked sausage, crab and a nice cold ale.
A New Orleans trick for post-crawfish boil cleanup: break and crumble a couple of saltine crackers in your hands, rub them all around your hands, and then go and wash them as you ordinarily would - no lingering, unpleasant smell! (And no fishy IEMs.)
What a cool idea. Got to give that a try in a few weeks. Thanks
ok I’m officially hungry
Hell i’m a vegan and that looks …ooops sorry wrong thread enjoy
